The correct answer is always YES when it comes to ditching blocks. They are bad for everything. Axle wrap leads to destroying your springs.

Yes, the only custom thing about it is the plastic wing pieces that fill in the rest of the area since the FJ stereo is larger than a standard double DIN size stereo. Sounds like yours doesn't have an Auxilary in feature so you'd probably just have to buy it straight up from me. I would be willing to help you install it since it should just be a plug and play with the Toyota stereo wiring harness. Let me know.

EDIT: I just looked up some 2004 4Runners on ebay. It would definitely fit. But do you have steering wheel controls? I doubt those would work.

Since you're in town, we could just take your dash apart and see if it works. Then you can either buy it or not. I've taken apart endless dash systems, wouldn't take longer than 30 minutes.

Note my comment above, if you have steering wheel controls - they probably won't work.

Yeah, there are definitely kits that somehow make it work. In my experience, they tend to have a delay for some reason though. As soon as you press the button to increase volume, it doesn't do it for a split second.

Either way, let me know if you're interested. It would be great to sell this so I can get back to stock. You will not be disappointed, it is certainly a good system. And if it can utilize your JBL amp somehow, the sound would probably be way better than stock.

Yeah tell me about it!! Family comes first though. My mom wants to visit my bro in law asap in case a sudden event happens so that's why I might not be able to make it Saturday. I will keep you and Mike posted.

Mike said he wants a maximum of 3 rigs for this scouting trip. If I don't leave this Friday and the others want to go let me know or I will let you guys know vise versa. We can figure something out. I do not want to step on your toes Mike.

    AHAHA Amen brotha!!

Hey Jake I got a question. I saw your all pro skid plate installation awhile ago and don't know where to start looking for it. I saw that they are selling their skid plates for only $150 for the ones who don't have sway bars and I am thinking about getting one since I don't have any skid plates. I'm not sure where they mount up to but I remember I had to cut off a piece of a metal up front of my truck where the factory tow hook was at and the guy said i won't be able to run my skids so I got rid of it. I went and looked at my truck near the differential drop the other day and saw (2) holes where it looks like the skid would mount up to. I PM'd stroM- but no response so I wanted to ask you if maybe you hve pictures of the mounting holes :eek:
