I just took possession of 2007 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner and I am going through identifying all the little issues that i have discovered since i brought it home from the dealer.

    1. Dash Rattle - increase with blower speed
    2. Truck Bed Rattle - Bolt in the bed has back off..might be stripped...have not explored yet.
    3. Driver Door wont manually lock. Locks from the passenger side. Key fobs are rusty...probably need need new batteries too.
    4. Output Shaft Leak...needs seal (90311-40034)....knew about this before I purchased.

I think I can handle most of these...blower rattle is probably the one that is the most common while searching here.

    What is this usually from?

For the dash rattle, grab a socket wrench and pull out the AC blower. Takes 10 minutes. There is probably debris in the blades that are causing the sound.

    It’s a 5.5mm screw. 7/32” socket works best I’ve found.

The drivers side door....i can't turn the lock counterclockwise to unlock. One of the FOBS work after replacing the battery and cleaning the contacts with alcohol.

The blower died shortly after. Replaced today with OEM.

Try a new/spare key if you have one. My 2008 (base model RC so no power locks) key had worn down so much that it would not work, especially in the driver side door. I switched to the spare key that was nice and "sharp" still and never had another issue.

I am having new keys cut this week. That will complete my list.
I have since moved on to replacing the front wheel bearings, shocks and front coils, antenna, carpet, front grill, gas cap, added fog lights, and removing all the trim, bed, headlights, and body panels for a 16 year detail.

had a new key cut and it doesn’t work any better than both of my originals.

unlocks the passenger door, attempts to start the truck…will only turn the driver side clockwise. Will not lock drivers side but it will unlock it.
