For those running the 2.0 setup, did you get aftermarket uca's? If you're running stock uca's, what numbers are you getting for your alignment as far as caster and camber? Got all my stuff ready to lift my '22, going with the 2.0 fronts, and the 2r rear reservoir shocks, 1.5 AAL in the rear, 285/70-17 ko2's. Im guessing after i adjust everything ill have about 2-21/4 lift in the front and trying to decide if I should or need to get aftermarket uca's to get my alignment in a good spot

I decided to get UCA's ( Terrian Tamers ). My alignment was good with them but I quickly found that I rub with my wheel and tire combo on the mud flaps. I trimmed them and still touch the left liner. The UCA's give more positive caster but this also moves the centreline of the wheel rearward. If I were do do it again, I would try stock first and then SPC's if stock didn't work.

I am running the 2.0 as they came out of the box, with +5 17x8.5 wheels and 265/70R17's.

Dang, you rubbed with those size tires? Im gonna be running a 17-8.5 wheel with a -10 offset. Ive heard mixed reviews on the spc, i understand they have the most adjustability of any uca, but you also need an alignment place that really knows how to adjust them correctly. We dont really have any off road specific shops here that do alignments, so im not sure if i wanna go with the spc... i am willing to just keep the stock uca, but i also dont wanna pay for an alignment, not be able to get it where i want, then have to buy ucas, take stuff apart and have to go get an alignment again

Factory UCAs and everything aligned properly. Just over 2 inch lift.

I am using the Freedom Off-Road UCA with the Eibach 2.0. Was able to get the allignment numbers I wanted pretty easily. Rides great, no rubbing on CMC around town, but can tell if the tire got stuffed on the trail, it would probably rub.

    I'm running 285/70/17 with a 17x8 -10 wheel.
Also. The coil overs have a 1/4" spacer on passenger side and a 3/8" on drivers side. I'm around 2.5" up front.

The UCAs use factory style bushings and non specialized ball joints. Was going to go SPC, but so many failure issues with new design.

Do you happen to know how much caster you got with the stock uca?

Thanks for the info and pics! I was looking i to the freedom uca, cause ive heard people have gotten good results and they are cheap. I looked into the spc because i know they have the most adjustability, but i have also heard of a few different issues people have had with them. Id also ne concerned that the shop would not necessarily know how utilize the full capabilities of the uca

Toe-in was really the only thing they adjusted, and it was a big adjustment. Camber didn't change at all: 2.0 degrees one side and 2.4 degrees on the other.

Installed my pro 2.0/2R kit the other day, and im pretty happy with it! I added OME UCA's and did the ecgs bushing and swapped the stock lower shock boltfor the 4runner lower bolt while i was at it. Install went pretty good, but getting the uca bolts out was definitely a bitch and a half! I went with a 3 pack 1.5" AAL in the rear, and everything went good except for the center leaf spring tie bolt not having enough threads to be able to bolt the leaf pack back together. The bolt would have worked fine if i was keeping the overload spring in, but that was not my intention. Luckily the auto parts store down the road had a center leaf spring tie bolt that worked! Ecgs bushing install was easier than expected, and so far i have no vibes or clunks. The lift got me around 3" of lift out of the box with no adjustment, and i went with 285/70-17 KO2's (load range c to save a little weight) on 17-8.5 -10 offset scs blaze 10. Super stoked on the finished product, and it always feels better when you do it yourself! 20230601_162041.jpg 20230603_122817.jpg 20230603_122827.jpg 20230603_122807.jpg 20230602_092455.jpg 20230602_095531.jpg

post #98, 99 shows pictures of the two bolts side by side. you can see how the tacoma bolt has a slight step down halfway through the smooth part of the bolt

Ok. I missed that part of the thread... I just changed out the bolt on mine with a different sourced bolt.

Unfortunately, I found no signs of play and the noise remained. I might loosed everything and retorque. It really makes me wonder what is going on when I do a complete look and find no obvious problems.

Whatever happened the guys with 3rd gens that contacted Eibach that were local? Did any of them get their trucks looked over? Eibach just vanished as well. No update from them since my visit.
