Got my windshield tinted 40% with ceramic tint. Now I won’t have to use my sunshade as much. Mainly got it for the heat deflection property. I could tell on the drive home it was already cooler in the cabin.

Nice! Curious if you've driven it at night. Wondering how much it affects things. Thinking about matching the front side window tint with the rear (30%?) in ours but hadn't considered the windshield.

    TIA!

just got it done so haven’t driven at night with it yet. I’ll report back after I have. But I’m assuming it won’t be too much of a difference. 40% is pretty light.

Reminds me of a story I heard when I was visiting the Palace at Versailles. The head gardener was asked by a tourist what the secret was to keeping the gardens so beautiful. He whispered to them: "Water the plants daily for 350 years."

(Side note: that story reminds me of how old I'm getting. The palace is celebrating its 400th anniversary this year.)

I just hit the engine compartment with a spray nozzle on the end of a garden hose whenever she gets back from the dusty off-road trails, or after spring/fall trips through snowy mountain passes. I use the portable leaf blower (Milwaukee 18V) to dry it before closing the hood
In the winter, on milder days I sometimes use the "rinse" water at an indoor carwash (they are heated and enclosed in BC and Alberta, and the water is heated in the winter) but then I make sure we have a 1/2-hour or so drive afterwards to ensure water doesn't freeze inside the engine compartment.
The black plastic bits get an occasional wipe down with some Armor-All cleaning cloths.

I find cleaning trucks relaxing, so I don't mind staying on top of the dirt...that way you never have to do a major cleanup. Neighbours probably think I'm OCD, but that's not necessarily a negative quality in an engineer.

    Thanks mate!
Used to be a slide out (couple weeks ago before the stiffeners). still slides over them if not too heavy, and it’s just nicer to kneel / stand on for getting into the tent.

Just got an OTT tune! Love it! That dip in power around 3500 rpms is gone. The engine feels like the 3.6L V6 I had in my Cadillac CTS.

Isn't it great? (Spoiler - it'll continue to get better!) OTT saved me from returning our Taco and getting another Tundra. Best money I've spent on it to date. Period.

I installed some removable , over the fender ammo cans that I'm using to hold bungie cords and straps. I designed the "baskets" to hold the MTM brand ,plastic ammo cans. My mechanical engineer friend, did some improvements to the design, and then 3d printed everything for me. I wanted to be able to take the cans out the truck if needed, and to be able to remove the entire assembly without any tools if I needed to haul something big or they were in the way.
So far they are working really well.

So far so awesome.....just 400 miles or so on the break in period for the 5.29, and the lift was installed a few miles after that.
Bit stiff atm but that was expected,as I ordered everything as stiff as I could, just have not added the armored bumpers, winch or sliders yet.
