I’m contemplating buying a tubing bender. May get a finger brake first, a guy at my work wants me to build him a plate bumper.

Nope it’ll be a standard plate bumper, he likes the c4 normal one. I’ll make a tube high clearance for myself after I do his

Yes it is but I want to incorporate a tire carrier for the 37 and my shocks. My tacoma is a toy at this point and will be treated as such

Too bad mine won't fit your truck :anonymous: :spy:

DOM tube from my place is $11.70/ ft. Id expect pricing to be similar to a bought bumper but you get exactly what you want and no freight.

Let me build mine then we will see how it goes.

Brown maple. Some tiger, some curly. Bone dry and ready to work. $150 but god damn you should see the "road" I had to take to get to it. Working on pulling dashcam footage.

This was only half what he had, going back for another load later. Leftovers from when he built his house he says.

Cheaper to buy full sticks? That's how my buddy buys DOM. I know he really prefers electric over hydraulic for his bender as well

That is the full stick pricing... And I dont know of any electric benders that I can afford just as a homegamer. Its a pretty specific tool for 1 task so I'm trying not to spend too much on it.

Air over hydraulic? He makes a lot of cages and bumpers. It's also just his side gig, he's a machinist/lead full time

I've been looking through these 3

    https://www.affordablebender.com/co...roducts/affordable-bender-134-die-on-7-radius
    https://www.swagoffroad.com/products/swag-rev-2-tubing-bender
    https://www.jd2.com/model-32-tube-bender-hydraulic

I am leaning towards the affordable bender so I can get some other tools too. I dont think I'll do the JD2 bender cause I have heard some customer service nightmares.

Down the road I'm sure I could add a air over hydraulic to the affordable.

I have an appointment for a custom stainless exhaust but this POS is literally disintegrating in the mean time. I absolutely cannot deal with the noise so I picked up an Appalachian OEM replacement.

    IMG_20230724_093556.jpg

JB, aluminum flashing, and assorted screws. It only needs to last two weeks.

    IMG_20230724_095119.jpg

    2 winters, ugh.
