I bought this thing and will be flying out end of this month. Pretty pumped for the flat bed to be honest, I have always wanted one. Should make money on this whole thing which is a nice lil bonus (knock on wood)

This looks very promising! Loving the looks of it.

It has 460 ft-lbs or torque! Welcome to modern powertrains. It will likely drive better than any traditional V6 or even V8 would. I think the old 4.7L V8 was like 320 ft-lbs or torque. Plus with the electric motor it should have fantastic low-end.

The 4Runner / Lexus GX460 has already been doing that for years now. This time, they just rebadged the GX550 as the "Land Cruiser" because they didn't want to call it what they do everywhere else "Prado".

Really does make me wonder what the 6G 4Runner will turn up as since it seems to be very overlapping with the new Land Cruiser at least at the T4R upper trim models in terms of price and capability.

Not nearly the same caliber of vehicle though, either. But truthfully, the LC200 was a relative flop in NA because of the price tag and the fact that it's really a luxury vehicle that just happens to have a ton of offroad prowess. I am glad that the offroad tech at least flowed down to the lower models (T4R, Taco, etc) in the form of A-Trac, etc.

The thing I wish they would do is release a "poverty spec" trim of the Land Cruiser here. No fancy leather seats, etc; working vehicles. They offer them abroad (mainly to NGOs via TGS, Ltd) so why can't we at least special order one here?

Did you watch that video? Maybe not poverty spec but as close to it as a modern LC will ever have. The LC 1958 (base model) has cloth seats, no sunroof, etc.

I’ve got a Lyrik fork for sale it anyone is interested. 150mm travel, Select +. Some of you may recall I cut a steerer too short, I bought this fork as a donor to steal the upper from but ended up replacing the steerer instead. Fork seems to be in good condition, but I’ve never run it on a bike. It was a Pink Bike find, seller had a good rep, came to me well packaged and appears to be in good condition. Let me know if you’re interested.

    Yeah.
Exactly. But the Lexus GX460 has the Torsen center diff, only available on the 4Runner Limited trim, which isn't really configured for off road use. I'm thinking they are easing into the idea that if someone is gonna spend $90K on a vehicle, it's gonna be a Lexus and not a Toyota, so they need to transition the LC into something less on the luxury side and focus on offroad capability. My thought is that the new 4Runner will see the same power/drivetrain options that the Tacoma has in various levels of trim, and the LC is limited to the top-end hybrid drivetrain and adds the center diff.

Thanks for the link. I’m the original owner of a cherry 2006 Tacoma double cab 4x4 Sport shortbed. I’ve always wanted to do a swap like this, problem is these Tacomas just keep going and going and going. I’d hate to yank a perfectly good drivetrain at 207K. ;)

And thanks for letting me know about Canyons DH, also a really fun track. Too bad it's not run more, and that tree at the bottom is damn near impossible to get over without help! Also had some features I had to walk away from, though I know I could clear em if I saw someone roll em first. That tall as shit 15' rock roll is super intimidating o_O

haha of course! yeah, we need to go clear that. it's in some desperate need of help. I think that major rock roll you're thinking...is that the one you roll upwards to? or is it the one that just appear on you as you're riding? lol
