Will do man! I kinda descided not to go with the RCD right now, and instead rock some ext. travel Icons. :D And sell my Radflos. These Radflos suck at 3" lift! I think there meant to be set at 2.5".

I did plasti on the wind deflector on my ski racks and clearcoated. It's holding up well and I commute 30 miles to work everyday.

I doubted the plastidip... but it does ok. Just tried it out on some motorcycle parts, did some old mirrors last week to see if it was worth doing the headlight etc, doesn't seem too durable, Sticks roughly the same as paint, but paint tends to chip off easy, This stuff sticks together, its an all or nothing deal.

Did the headlight and lower triple clamp in plastidip. If you really want to paint chrome simply and permanently (as anything) rust-o-leum truck bed coating and some 80-150 grit sand paper.. random orbit sander is best, otherwise cross hatch. Sticks like any other substrate.
You'd think I powdercoated the bike.

Alright, I'm wanting to Plasti-Dip my badges, cause I really don't feel like debadging and painting them.

Does anyone know where I can get Plasti-Dip in Canada? I tried Home Depot, Lordco and KMS Tools, with no success. They all said that they don't carry it anymore.

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Thanks

EDIT: I'm retarded and forgot the power of Google! Fail..... fail......
Looks like I've got a 2 hour drive to get me some, unless they'll ship it... :)

I had the same problem as you crappy tire, HD, kent, even Cmax (paint supplier) don't carry it anymore. However Home Hardware carries it they got Black, Blue, Yellow, both spraybomb and Can so try there before you take ur trip.

It seems like a great product, and really stays together.

My only issue that I need to address, is my side edges need to cleaned up and neater....

    Pics soon to come! :)

I've come across a few mentions of the colored plasti-dip, in the multitudes of threads about plasti-dip, but it seems nobody has used anything but black.

Has anyone used any of the colors? Experiences? How did it match?

I'm currently jumping on the bandwagon and am two coats into two of the emblems.

I really want to color match my grill, I have a white taco and cant stand the chrome grill. I noticed in the other threads nobody replied to the inquiry about the color match.

The local hardware store is suppose to get white in at the end of the week, so I may be giving it a go.

Anyone ever seen a white tacoma with white wheels?

Well I haven't done it yet but I found a blue plasti-dip that closely matches SWB so I'm going to spray my emblems black and then from a distance speckle them with the blue. Nice thing is if I don't like it I'll just peal it off.

ALL THOSE ASKING ABOUT DIP VS. PRESSURE WASHER READ.!.!.!

Just hit the car wash to clean the truck and the plasti dip to give it it's first test. The pressure washer was a little more powerful than your regular car wash pressure washer. Whenever I would hit the trigger, if I didn't have ahold of it with two hands, I could not stop it from pushing upward with just one arm. For the bumper/emblems/grill I didn't want it to peel right off the chrome so I stayed around 4 ft or so away from the end of the hose to the plasti dip. But only to find myself moving closer to see if it really held up. Before it was done I was only a couple feet away and nothing happen. It stay on perfectly! So I had a little access inside of my lugs where I dipped one of my rims to check what it looked like and my fingers couldn't get it off. So I decided to hold the pressure right up to the wheels to see if it would come off and notta!.! I'm guessing you have to hit this stuff on the corners to really get it to start peeling, or get your finger nail underneath it, but either way I am very pleased with my 14 dollar blackout mod!.! Some more picc with my 4 year old niece's new ride and new tacomaworld.com sticker!

That's impressive. I guess durability is the only question left.
