^Beware Iridium TT isn't the right plug for the 3.5L. The correct plug per the owner's manual is a bit more expensive...

    3491 is correct. 3491 isn't TT. TT is 4704.

Fair enough, those are still only $14/each (unshipped). If they markup 6 of these cheaper TT ones ($10) 3.5x that's.. $210ish. that still leaves labor. Let's say it takes them 3 hours to perform this. $206/hour seems REALLY high. Lol, I'm a Project Manager for federal contracts, and we don't charge the gov that much for my time (including our markup of 3.5x). This shit's still insanely overpriced, IMO. If it takes them 4 hours, that's still $150/hour for labor. Maybe I'm missing something.

^Nope, your assessment is correct. The "fancy iridium plugs" are a profit center for many repair shops.

$206/hour is... unfortunately, not really out of line anymore. I know independent shops that are >$150/hour... not even 10 years ago, $120 was pretty damn expensive. I'm sure there are plenty of dealers knocking on $200 labor.

The really bad part is, the 3 hours is high, book is 2.0... and I doubt many take one hour, but that's how flat rate works.

Plugs themselves can definitely be insane these days. Quoted some for a Honda the other day that wholesale at something like $25 a pop... customer half joking says it's highway robbery. For giggles I checked Honda OE pricing (for the same plug, in a Honda box, maybe printed with Honda instead of NGK)... list was like $50, online discount dealer price was over $30. I'll reminisce on that next time I change my $4 copper plugs so replacing them every 30k doesn't annoy me as much.

I have bookmarked the thread. That can sometimes be a failure because the pictures, if any, sometimes go missing over time. I don't understand why but - they are gone.
The next time I want to save something, I am going to try to print the good posts in a thread as a "pdf" to save. That has worked for certain articles I wanted to save. I've not tried it on a forum web site.
