Should I worry that my coolant level is below the fill line? This is after sitting in the garage for about 6 hours after being driven.

What was the level like a week ago? A month ago?

Have you filled it before... some time ago?

Add the coolant and monitor. I had this back in early 2018. Added the coolant and the level did drop since.

My 2018 Tacoma shot coolant all over the engine bay at around 3k miles new. I topped it off and it stayed full until 20k miles when I sold it.

I would top off and watch it like a hawk.

Sadly it's not something I knew to keep an eye on. 15k miles, had it almost exactly a year. Never checked nor filled it.

My neighbor noticed it when we were installing LED bulbs in my headlights.

I've had the oil changed twice, once by my regular guy and once most recently at the dealer a couple months ago. Shame on me for assuming they check all the fluid levels I guess.

Thanks for the link to that thread, now I'm fully panicked :annoyed: but at least I know I'm not alone lol.

I'm not seeing any pink crusty residue, assuming I'm looking in the right place.

Any recommendations for what fluid to get and where to get it?

Think I ought to make an appointment to have it looked at and filled just to get it documented, or will they sell me the coolant, laugh at me and tell me to piss off?

I would buy the coolant and top it off and monitor it after that. If it gets low again then bring it up at your next service.

It looks like you have residue on the black hose going from the reservoir to the radiatorIMG_0596.jpg . put a small constant tension clamp and you should be good

Thanks everyone for the advice, I topped it off and added the hose clamp and I'll be keeping an eye on it!
