Hello everyone. I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD off road that does not have the rear parking sensors. Does anyone know if the existing wiring harness has the plugs already there in the event I want to add them

Great question. My only input is I just replaced one that was broken on my '21, it was over $300 at the dealer. Good luck!

It is unlikely that connectors are on your existing harness. Should be simple enough to look.
The intuitive parking/sonar detector system requires three wires from the bumper harness through connectors BE1, EB5 and IA3 then beyond to the clearance warning module located in the dash. That module requires connection to the secondary CAN/Gateway module, combination meter, buzzer and other points. If you are seriously considering an OEM retrofit, you should review the wiring diagrams and repair manual. New parts to add the OEM system would be cost prohibitive but used parts could make for a viable project. It will likely require programming via Tech-stream.
I have the sonar parking detectors, working on a Blind Spot Monitor retrofit, facing similar issues.

The expense and risk of it not working outweigh the benefits. There are aftermarket solutions.

I also believe that the tacoma style sensors were not designed for the stainless bumper, which your offroad likely has.

The bumper material is not an issue for sonar sensors. It's the BSM that requires the painted plastic.
You are correct. After-market is the easy way to go. However...

If you are trying to add OEM parking sensors, you will most likely need new bumper caps with holes for the sensors. Check out posts #5 and #22 on this thread.
