C'mon man! I started a new job here in WV when my sciatic pain started (thats just my luck). I tweaked my back moving my toolboxes & shop equipment from my old job. I worked with that pain for 6 months, new job so I didn't have any pto yet. Also I didn't want to miss time and make a bad impression. My surgeon & chiropractor both told me working when the pain first started was a big mistake, it made my back issue much worse. The pain down my right leg was so bad after standing & working for 8 hours I could barely operate the gas & brake pedals during my 40min commute home. During that time I was living here at the cabin with just my dog. My wife was still living & working back in Baltimore so no help from her. When I would get home I would have to load the woodstove, feed the dog, make my own dinners, wash the dishes and pack my lunch for the next day. I would be using the kitchen counter to hold myself up while doin the kitchen chores. After all that standing to shower was impossible. Luckily i have a tub/shower combo so i would sit to shower because i just couldn't stand anymore. Then right to bed with the tens unit & heating pad. Wake up at 4:30 to do it all over again. My dream in life was to leave Baltimore and be living in a paid off secluded cabin in the mountains, so what should've been a great time in my life was tainted with awful nerve pain.

You right sir, you right. I probably could have made it through the day. Ankle swelling has gone away almost completely and pain right now is minimal at best… but then again, I haven’t done much today yet. Today was kinda asked/told to relax at home by work. So basically, whatever work is on the day for concrete deliveries is calculated out and the computer tells us how many drivers we need to be successful. Today we extra drivers, and my dispatch lady and boss suggested it may be a good day to rest up a bit. They could see I was struggling more so than Monday to get around the yard and all. I think my boss is more less concerned with me injuring myself more and then it becoming a workers comp thing… which I totally understand. I figured… two on, one off, and then another two on before the weekend. Doctor suggested I not even go back this soon. He wanted me to wait two more weeks before I jumped back in the saddle after my injections. But I’m stubborn and need the income, so I practically begged him to sign my work release papers. He did so reluctantly, while telling me it wasn’t a good idea to be bouncing around in a truck for 7-10 hours a day. Definitely going back tomorrow though… like you said above, going to have to nut up and push through it.

On a side note… looks like you’re doing good. Lots of 200+ mile rides offroad on the Harley enduro. Never seen anyone use a Harley like you before… It’s awesome! Mine has been over at my mother’s house, gas drained and on a lift, in storage for the past two years. Never really had much time to myself to ride. Always running around with the wife and kids. I was always into the Jap bikes anyway… always had Yamaha R1’s. Never really caught the Harley bug. That was my dad’s lifestyle. Been debating selling it for a while now. But the market is so saturated with Harleys, the resale value is garbage. Last I looked it was like $6-8k on a good day. To me it’ll be a hell of a collectors bike one day. It’s a 100th Anniversary FXSTSI (springer softail w/ fuel injection) 2003. Think it has a little over 20k on the clock. Shit ton of mods and a a Cole Foster bobber conversion kit for it. All needs is paint and slapped on. Motor was built by Arron @ Browns Cycle before he sold the company. Man was a genius with any v-twin! Pistons, rods, lifters, cams… whole thing was gone through and dyno’d. Next time the bike sees the sun, I’ll either have a helmet on or someone will be outside with a trailer.

    test fit of bobber kit…

    IMG_4084.jpg

And, the day I hauled it to mom’s for extended hibernation…

I'm just bustin' your balls lol. Good lookin springer. Mine is also a Anniversary edition & f.i. I bought mine brand new. I've got 17k currently on mine. I tried to sell it a few times a few years back but I was only getting $5k-$6k offers for it, and that was back when I kept it polished up. I told the wife I'll use it as a enduro before I sell it that cheap. I actually have more fun with it now lol. I just washed the dirt & mud off it.

I just hit 35K and I am going to change the differential fluid. I am going with a synthetic in the front diff and a GL5 80W-90 in the rear because I put a Eaton TrueTrac in the rear. What do you guys think about the transfer case? I am hearing different things. What do the pros think? @Tonymontana @$500TRD

Not sure if anyone remembers this Scamp that I offered on here for $500obo a couple months ago. Old gentleman down the road from me was selling it and he asked me to ask around. Well my aunt & uncle bought it for $250. They're making good progress with it.

Not sure about those specifically… but I did the Kicker/Subaru upgrade and it was definitely a noticeable upgrade, worth the $89 for sure. Hopefully you have the same results!

…careful!! The little plastic covers over the tweeters are tight coming out and have very brittle tabs. A plastic panel tool is your best friend… flathead screwdriver will mess up the dash. Believe there’s a YouTube video that shows you exactly where to pry from.
