as far as i can tell there is no tensioner in the case. would be a good idea though.

 

What’s on the inside of the other half of the case? Looks like two locators directly below your flathead in pic three

+1 vote for that floppy-ass chain being the problem

Looks like those are for shafts that the forks ride on. The chain is pretty wide and has no guide or tensioner.

Stretched chain. No tensioner in there.

 

Gearing should help? Heard those cases can handle 40’s. Could go full send with a big ole atlas or a 205 (think you mentioned you had one of those….)

 

Help, maybe under normal driving loads but it will still see all the same engine beans with gears behind it once you stuff your foot in it..

Is stretched chains even common?
