Sounds legit, again, I would confirm you are arriving with a check for that exact amount,,, or flat out tell them, you will not be paying a penny more than the agreed upon quoted price. If they hesitate or respond w anything other than “great show up with that amount” you will have confirmed who you are dealing w.

Before you do go in to sign, shop around on extended warranties,,,,, IF you are interested in one anyways. You do NOT have to buy the extended warranty from your dealer of purchase,, even though many/most will imply you do. You can save a thousand or more shopping this.

Nothing wrong with an extended warranty at the right cost. I’ve bought them every time because I get them for what I think is dirt cheap after negotiating.

You are good. The only thing they might do is call you and tell you another (more expensive) truck just became available now and offer it to you for that added cost. It would be your option to take it of wait for yours.

 

LOL yeah the "best generation" Tacoma that uses the 3.5 found in unibody platforms instead of the 4.0 that is still found in more expensive Toyota's like the Land cruisers, 4Runners, GX400, etc. and only in body on frame applications. Almost seems like they did that to justify the price point of the more premium options to consumers....

 

This was my experience when I bought my OR last year. Glad stuff like that happens.
