The "TRD" and "PRO" backlights? Mine turn with one click above the drl setting or with the headlights on. It's just for looks. I leave mine on drl all the time unless I need the headlights.

I’ve been rolling at parking light level a fair bit in the mornings. Because it’s been rainy for months so the extra rear visibility is nice but low beams aren’t really much different from the C on DRL as far as forward visibility to others (at least during the day).

Purchasing OEM Leds today from someone on facebook. They look legit. Does anyone know where the part number is located on the housing. I just want to confirm they’re legit when I get there

Just did the swap. Big thanks to @daveeasa for the awesome harness

    Some comparison videos
    Fixed settings for all
    Wide - 1/90, iso 3200, wb 4400
    Narrow - 1/60, iso 3200, wb 4400
    Very similar to "in person".
*recommend you shut sound off, there is nothing worthwhile to listen to and the sound sucks.

H9 low, H9 high, wide angle
    https://youtu.be/JP6c9_X9PEU

    OEM LED, Wide angle
    https://youtu.be/Uo740EMZs0k

The wide angle does not give a sense of distance projection, which is one of the most important aspects. This 3x video is a bit better at how it "feels" driving.

    H9 low, H9 high
    https://youtu.be/1SqPw63ucm0

    OEM LED
    https://youtu.be/Dv1GYqGT9e0

Bottom line, i feel they are slightly better than OEM halogens with H9s. The crisp white is nice, that is for sure, but overall distance is similar.
The videos were done with h9 highs but I normally run Hikari Ultras in the highs, and honestly i preferthe Hikaris. The Hikaris don't have any greater distance projection but have a bit more "punch" than the OEM LEDs, it feels like a bit larger and wider hot spot than the oem leds. I do not run the hikaris in the lows and to be honest the "punch" could come from the sudden crisp light when going from Halogen to led more than anything.

Ultimately very happy with the upgrade as they are better lows, if only slightly imo, and the highs are just fine. They also look fantastic.

Edit: watching the videos just now shows the oem led lows having more "width" and I think I "feel" the same about them as well, that is entirely subjective however.

Glad you found out. I really had no idea how long it was for. Just saw it posted and wanted to make sure it applied to the headlights.

200 bucks for the set on marketplace with a couple broken tabs on the passenger light and a little ingenuity and we’re good to go. Went with the @daveeasa harness obviously. Less than 300 bucks I’m installed, aimed, and happier than ever with my headlights.

Can anyone speculate when the next time any type of sale will go on? I decided yesterday that it was time, and missed that 25% off sale. D’oh!

My best guess for the next sale would be around the Black Friday/Cyber Monday time frame

Just going to order from Sparks, screw it.

Do we like pros (04300) or the standard (04290)? I cannot decide.
