Parts have started to arrive for the winter light upgrade. OEM LED headlights coming on Thursday, awaiting a BAMF light bar to ship, and I have a harness being built that'll allow the SS5 lights to be controlled manually via a switch or automatically via the high beam stalk.

Swapped the wife’s BFG K02 tires on TRD OR 16” rims for some Nokia Nordman 7 tires on TRD 17” Sport rims. All are 265 width and 32” OD, so should be identical drivers.
Hoping for a better winter on hard-packed snow in the mountains. The BFGs were acceptable brand new (September) last year but thinking we need her on real winters this year.

    Will update as weather happens.

I got a pair of heated seats in just in time for the trip to Destination Offroad. Comfy, much lighter, less bulky so more space, loving the side bolsters and they match.

    Brand new.
    Jacking Points of contact,
S out of the blue i had to jack up my truck yesterday due t a flat tire and wanted some advice, i used a cross-memeber under the front of the truck close to the drivers side of the vehicle, can anyone give me advice as to where a jack should go for the front of the truck as I had to change a front tire due to a unusually, large bolt i found stuck in the tire.
i had side steps on s i can't use the oem jack, where do i put the floor jack or oem jack in the front end?

Good question. I often wonder the same, I figure I better watch replies on this one, and think about making a base for my OEM jack JIC.

I made a base for the OEM jack using a scrap piece of 2x6 about a foot long, with 2 carriage bolts and wing nuts. Haven't had to use it (yet).

If you have the factory engine skid there is a hole at the cross-member with a jacking point.

I could use some insight, when it comes to wheels my knowledge is very little. I made a remarkable deal on some TRD Pro Sema style wheels but only got 3 out of the 4 needed. These are brand new in the box, previous owner thought they were OEM.

When I looked at the box the came in, I noticed that it said 5mm offset. All the reading I have done says that OEM should be 4mm offset.

Am I missing something or should I try to locate a 5mm offset of this wheel? I want to make sure the one I purchase matches the other three. Thanks for any help in advance!received_656495226464285.jpg received_846564073736176.jpg

If those were OEM Toyota wouldn't have spelled "Matt" (matte) incorrectly.

OEM is also a 17x7 wheel, not 17x8.

    Looks like you have these:

You can place the jack under the lower control arm but use a piece of 2x4 to provide a larger flat surface between the 2 contact points.

I know not a cool topic and opinions go both ways but I am about to have my second windshield replaced from rock chips. And put one of these things on my wife’s truck and seems to keep rocks off but I have noticed an increase in wind noise. Anyone having good luck with one in particular deflecting rocks and not looking like grandpa rolling down the street??

I noticed the misspelling too, mine so have the TRD logo on the center caps (the ones in the link don't). Do you think there would be any fitment issues? This stuff has me all confused!
