All this has me remembering the backmasking "excitement" and ELO's fun with it (an album, Ole ELO) and the song (Fire on High) that states very clearly (if you can listen backwards of course), "The music is reversible but time is not. Turn Back!". And if a 70s/80s rock band said it, then it MUST be true: Time cannot go back, so we must be imagining daylight savings time.

Was sitting at the car wash flipping through the menus out of boredom when I noticed that the right rear tire was about 10 PSI lower than normal. Got home and found a small nail in the middle of the tread. Gave me a chance to use the tire patch kit I have.

1 bacon strip and maybe 30 minutes of time and now I can go on about my day worry free. No need to schedule an appointment at a tire shop, take time out of work, etc.

In my experience time just seems to run out, not up or down or backwards.. do everything 100% because why not and love your peeps.

If time didn't move, it would always be the same day, date, and time. Time is always increasing. That movement has been represented a bunch of different ways throughout history. There is a great documentary about specifically this that was made a few years ago.

Odd about the alu bending. Mine have been mounted with it for years now and no movement at all.
No worries tho. If you like the plywood, then definitely go with it. It's all good.

I also keep my pelican on year round as well. Has held up perfectly through 2 north east winters. Only complaint I have is I wish I got a different color as the tan I got has been heavily sun bleached to almost white on top.

Gained 52 miles per tankful after oil and filter change!

So it was time for my 3rd Gen oil and filter change. I changed my own oil and filter on my 2nd Gen 49 times in 13 years and 249K miles on her. But this cartridge crap is for the birds, I let the Dealership do it. So after a tank or so my 3rd Gen took my available miles on a tankfull down to 302 miles after each fillup. After my oil change Tuesday AM I am now at 354 miles until empty! Gained 52 miles there somehow.

Could they have unhooked the battery and reset the entire vehicle? Brought it back to new, so to speak, before it learns my driving habits? I have the KD MAX tune and all still seems to be well with that but I swear it does seem slightly more responsive. It makes me wonder did they do a SW update on it?

Love it! Glad you didn't have to schedule, then wait in a queue to get this done. Very satisfying, I would say.

Q: Did you also have your AC off this past tank of gas?

I did have it off, maybe that is why it gained the miles? Generally, it stays on constantly here in Texas but the cold fronts have prevented the AC use last few days.

I noticed a similar gain once I turned my ac off here in Florida.

ARB Speedy Seal kit from Amazon. Checked the tire this morning and it only lost about 2 PSI. Once I get some heat in the tires through driving, the vulcanizing rubber should seal the hole completely shut.

If you know why I have tape wrapped around a light bulb, you know the upgrade I did today.

    IMG_6369.jpg

Though the method seemed shady, it actually worked after a number of attempts.

The interior (and license plate) lights are now the LEDs they should have been from the factory.

If you pull on the overhead console it just pops off and the bulbs come out the back with a 1/4 turn and a 1/16th the effort of using tape.
Just a heads up for anyone replacing map light bulbs or in case you cheaped out on the LEDs (and got them off Amazon like I did initially) and have to replace them in 2 months

I'm swapping mine out this weekend, I guess I should watch a video or two in order to understand this.

The map lights were the only problem. Unless you have tiny pincer fingers, there’s no way to get those bulbs out, lol.
