That front bumper turned out looking really nice. I like your setup with the viper cut as well.

Ok, here is a question, regarding the upgrading of maps in the 3rd gen GPS.
Is there anything I need to do other than purchase the new sim card from Amazon for $40 and swap it out with the sim card that is currently in the head unit? Thanks.

Hope they last longer than the cheap AUTOGINE lights I got off Amazon. Had to replace the lic. plate bulbs recently since they crapped out.

Nope front bumper. So the traffic cam can read it. And po-po. Coming the others way

Yes. The spindle, hub and bearings have to be removed. There isn’t enough room and the heat isn’t good for the bearings and seals.

Only thing left is the needle bearing Toyota has on my axle Side, I’m not lifted much just an inch. So I’m wondering if I’m stressing it to the point of failure.

I put REKGEN flaps on mine when new, as well as the step bars, it all contributes to keep rock chips to a minimum, we have cinders that last throughout the summer, and get more in winter

I liked those, but drilling the body seam to install the lighting is where I closed the page. PA salt belt and then their salty price was a turn off for me!

I agree, unfortunately I have a 2019, with no apple play, and some Toyota app that must be launched prior to use. Furthermore, the toyota app gets zero updates and much more customer service. All speakers must be changed, along with sound dampening material in the doors at a minimum. The GPS feature is very time consuming to set up, and definitely not anything you want to do when moving. I find myself using my iPhone rather than what came in the truck for navigation

I’ve used Garmin GPS units on my Motorcycle, and for outback
No, not all third generations have Apple CarPlay , such as my 2019

Thanks! This will definitely be a future mod.

That's all you have to do. Once new chip is installed, power on head unit, it'll do all the upgrading itself, nothing else for you to do. Easy peasy!!

Did you manage to retain your factory mic? Did it improve the camera quality when backing up?

No, I installed the Enfig mic in the overhead console.

    https://shop.enfigcarstereo.com/product/enfig-mic-toy1/

I think because the resolution of the Alpine screen (720p) is higher than the cameras (I’d guess 480p, or lower) the resulting on-screen image is scaled and doesn’t look very sharp.

I was in the same boat. The sound deadening and speaker upgrades are a must. I went with what kicker has and crutchfield adapters. The tweeters are Subaru don’t sell them short they are a vast improvement

Took the Taco out camping with the kiddo with his troop of Cub Scouts. Buddy of mine and I parked together as it should be.
