Remember that the 5100's really aren't designed for the OME springs and have been known to fail with the combination. Also you can run the 265/75R16 with stock suspension.

Yeah, I realize they will fit, I still am looking for a little more ground clearance and a better stance. It's looking like I might be spending a little more than I originally planned. I am leaning towards just getting the coil overs kit from toytec for the Bilsteins.

    Thanks for the input.

Remember that it's not just getting the lift coils. You'll need UCA's for a 3" lift if you want your truck to drive good.

From Toytecs site, I was under the impression they are adujustable from 1-3" and the assembled kit was preset at 2.5" I don't really want/need 3", mainly because of the UCA issue. I would be setting them to 2" if my impressions were correct.

So basically you're only trying to level your truck? You're not planning to run larger tires?

Ok guys, I think I have most of this lift stuff figured out. I have read many of the forum posts on lifts and I think I am missing some small but significant parts. I have just ordered ICON rear reservoir shocks(57505), ICON front coil over extended front shock kit(58635), Total Chaos UCA's(96504), and Full leaf pack from Alcan. Do I need to get bump stops, carrier bearing spacer, axle shims, u bolt flip kit, sway bar relocation, differential drop spacers? These are things I hear people talk about but some say yes and some say no. I would like to kow if i need any of these things and why. Also is there anything I'm missing? Brake lines perhaps...anything else I'm not thinking of? Thanks guys!

P.S. got wheels and tires so no worries there either. bought the konig countersteers from another post!

Well I wanted a slight lift, but I didn't want to get into UCA's, diff drops, etc...

Now I think I will just go for it all right off the bat instead of screwing around and trying to short cut costs. Plus, this way I can go up a tire size once this isn't my daily driver anymore. I guess the AR-15 I have had my eye will have to wait.

Now my thoughts are toytec bilstein coil overs, LR UCA's, sway bar relocate, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 2" AAL and rear bilsteins and I think I do it under $1400.

It's pretty much Toytecs ultimate lift kit, but I would purchase the parts separately and assemble and install myself.

I pulled the trigger on Bilsteins all the way around, LR UCA's, Toytecs coilover kit, and an aal.

I also got the new u-bolts, axle shims and diff drop kit just in case. When I can finally get going on this project I really don't want any hang ups.

    What did I miss?

^. Im guessing your rear is higher cause you went 3" on the front & back?? You need to take out the 3" block in the rear and use like a 1 or 1.5". You dont want to stack spacers to make the front higher. You just need to bring the back down some

    ok if anyone can help.

i have had a 6 inch fabtec suspension lift upgrade on my 09 taco. i have 33in nitto extream terrain mud grapplers with the stock 17 rims. after the upgrade i have noticed that everytime i turn that damn thing beeps at me is there a way that it can be shut up since it is so dang annoying. also with this there is a rub that i feel in the gas peddle and also a few times it is scary as hell it locks up and i start a skid. i have been back and forth to the off road place and he has no idea what could cause it except that the fact my tires are still to narrow makeing the vehicle think its loosing traction and its not can we say DANGEROUS any help is appreciated

I believe you need wheel spacers or after market wheels.

Hey guys instead of making another pointless thread quick question, I believe I know my answer but like to be right before I attempt something.

I bought a TSB pack off a member with a AAL, I'm going to take the AAL off for now and just put the TSB leafs in, do I need to change my shocks immediately or can it wait awhile? What is the harm if I dont change them right away?

I believe I've read you can, just want to make sure.

    Thanks!

TSB leafs are stock leafs right? Stock shocks should be good with em if that's the case.
