I have Hushmat for the outer door skin and the SoundSkins door kit ready to go for the truck but I'm apprehensive applying it in colder weather.

Any issues with adhesion while using a hairdryer?

No, It seemed to hold alright. I could rest it in the door speaker opening and it heated the whole door. I used mostly pieces 6 inch by 10 inch ish...Heat the face of the piece, peal and stick...Heat the back...Roller it...Seemed good. One piece I tried to reposition and it was NOT happening..
BONUS..In colder weather you can carefully remove the plastic vapor barrier and then HEAT the tar seals as you reattach and get a perfect seal with no gooey drips

If you're just plowing your drive, and you take the snow plow off as soon as you are done, and you're not driving around town with it on and up and down the highway, then you'll probably be all right.

I’d be more concerned about breaking something plastic. I’m waiting until spring to do my front door speakers.

Just Finished with minutes to spare. Deluge.

This is the size I generally worked with
    upload_2023-12-10_15-15-11.jpg
    some smallish pieces too
    upload_2023-12-10_15-15-11.jpg
maybe that will prevent wire rattling

    upload_2023-12-10_15-15-11.jpg

finished with no time to spare
    upload_2023-12-10_15-15-11.jpg

I still have to do my tweeters and crossover wiring but that's not as weather dependent as sound deadening the doors.

Instead of duct tape you could use 3m tape on the oem connector and attach to the speaker adapter plastic (plenty of wire slack)
    IMG_1660.jpg

I realize that that top speaker grill shouldn’t be installed and will take it off when I get those xtc foam backer/shields in the mail. I also will be getting bolts/nuts to attach over the included screws.

you cut out quite a bit of the xtc foam, more than I was expecting to do. Was this because of clearance? Also why did you not go with 6x9 xtc to go behind the plastic speaker adapter so it’s against the door skin?

Finished up setting up my Sony XAV-AX6000. It sounds great. It definitely opened up my kicker cs door speakers. :thumbsup:20231210_153448.jpg

Been doing stuff with my new boat the past few months, but winter is here and I needed a better setup for my battery maintainer and oil pan heater. Before I had a extension cord sticking out the front for the oil pan heater, and a SAE plug in the wheel well for the charger.
Got a new onboard charger to replace the other maintainer, and got a noco surface mount plug.
I need to get a switch though for the oil pan heater so its not always running. The charger is fine to always run at night, but no need for the oil to be heated over night.

This is the boat I have been restoring for the past few months

Queued up the payoff amount for the last 2 months of payments on my truck to pay tomorrow. The truck will be all mine and I get credit for paying it off ahead of schedule. Score!

Not having a truck/car payment AND having a nice truck to boot is a truly awesome feeling.

    Congrats
