Thank you for the diagram. Do you have a way to look up the part numbers for the bushes in the diagram? I would like to order those.

Good to know. I will measure and order a set tomorrow. Son has 180k on my old 2012 and those springs are way beyond WD-40 squeaky. Got a super low mileage set from a 3rd gen Sport for $100. No brainer. My 2008 has fairly new recall leaf springs and new 3rd gen Off Road coil/strut assemblies. In the spring I am going to find some 3rd gen front strut assemblies for him. I take advantage of every opportunity to teach him to work on vehicles so he can eventually take over servicing the family fleet.

Ordered the wheelers u-bolt kit. Appreciate the input on that. Next question. Best place to buy shackle bushings. With 180k miles I know they are a squeaking contributor and are most likely dry rotted.

Has anyone used this bare shackle kit. PN 04005-65104. I want this to be a quick process without being tied up with cutting out the sleeves on the old shackles. This kit seems to be a time saver. Also looking to verify PN 90389-A0003 is the correct oem shackle bushing part number. All of these are from toyotapartsdeal.com and I have this stuff in my cart. It is $62 shipped. Cheaper than buying the poly bushing kit and the 2023 leaf springs only have 700 miles on them. No need to replace those 4 bushings and it seems nobody sells only the 4 shackle bushings at a reasonable price.
NEVERMIND. It took me hours of searching different sites but finally verified the part numbers were correct and ordered oem shackle bodies and oem shackle bushings.

I will be reusing the U-bolt that came on the springs I installed a few months ago, I am adding a half inch spacer which moves the nuts down a half inch so it’s mostly on new threads as opposed to torqued threads.

I would think if you were not replacing anything in there just putting the nuts back to the position they were in you might be concerned about the threads, I’m pretty certain that there’s a lot of bush fixes out there that I’ve never replaced a U-bolt

    Not sure why?
Why wouldn’t you have to replace all bolts or studs?
Look how many times a lug nut is torqued over a vehicle lifetime.
