That's what I was paying for Allstate. Check out Liberty Mutual. You can also get discounts based on where you went to college. If you want the contact number of the lady who handles my account, shoot me a PM. She's in Saddle Brook.

scott, i never heard back from the guy with the hitch and rc is around the corner. so i ordered that curt hitch for 148 bucks. free shipping and free locking hitch pin, so not a bad deal imo.

hopefully it gets here quickly, other wise well be installing it by camp fire light next friday :D

haha yea thats still a really good deal. Kind of a bummer that you couldnt get a sweet deal from someone on here though. and if you cant get one of tim's hitch shackles by april 8th one option is just go to home depot and get a couple feet of heavy chain and the screw link to attach the ends together so you can put that through the hitch for a recovery point

you could just put the loop of the tow strap with the hitch pin

That's my plan. Is it safe to do though? What are the chances of damaging or breaking something by doing it this way?

    no truck now :(
You won't hurt the hitch. You may break the pin if someone yanks to hard a few to many times, but other than that.. nothing will get hurt on your truck, unless the frame is weak or you did a crappy firelight install. :D

Figured I'd throw this out there but is anyone looking for a days worth of work on Thursday? Waiting to see if this job is going to happen on Thursday in Edison. Work is installing a folding wall system in an office building. Use of hand tools, wrenches, and drills required as well as working off a ladder at about 11' off the ground. There would a worker from our company there to work with you. Let me know if anyone's interested. Could turn into something a couple days a week if things work out.
