Link to what you purchased? My not work as I am 6'1 and seat is pretty far back but worth the look as my puppy (just over 2) is 90lbs and could use the extra space.

Slowest shipping ever, like 40 days. Guessing they order from China and if you catch them between shipments you have to wait a while.

Probably will be real close size wise, if you run your seat back more vertical than mine you might be OK.

Installed some led lights and a switch in the bed. Perfect lighting. I am curious though if I could cut one of them to put on my rear window but not sure if I’m able to cut these leds strips and not mess it up.
Just need to work on my shades now.
Maybe install ditch lights today to I had laying around weather pending

New tires on my SR. 265/75/16 Wildpeak AT3W’s. No rub! Hoping to find a long bed topper soon. Might just pull the trigger on a white work topper and get it wrapped black.

I dropped it off at Discount Tire to have new 235/85r16 Toyo AT3’s installed on the SR SX wheels I bought last night. I hope it looks as good as I expect it too.

Cable arrived today. Apparently it is a data cable only as it does not power the Garmin but merely allows one to transfer the contents to the PC .

    Back to searching.

I'm confused. The cable to power the Mini 2 was just a typical USB-A to micro USB cable and came in the box. The vast majority of those will provide power; fewer transfer data.
The extra piece (not part of the Garmin package) is an adaptor (Dongar makes it) that allows you to draw power from the cable to the mirror. Then the power cable just plugs into that and the Garmin. Maybe the Dongar came with shorter cables; I don't remember.

Confused here too. My Mini2 has both a long and shorter cable USB-A to USB-micro (no USB-C). The instructions call for the longer cable (power cable) to be hidden behind the trim pieces and plugged into the cigarette lighter port via an enclosed adapter. The shorter cable (about 4 feet long) is to be used to transfer data from the Mini to a PC.

So, with a Dongar unit, I need a shorter A to micro cable for charging.

The new cable merely puts the Mini in a download data mode and does not provide charging.

I found a foot long cable in my stash which specifies on it "charging only" so I guess the varieties available are quite numerous.

Anyone have an inside track at Garmin? I've come close the picking up the Mini 2 a couple of times. Now I'm wondering about a Mini 3? Keep the form factor, change the power cord to USB-C, up the resolution from 1080 to maybe 1440? (4K would take up a lot of memory, but since 512 GB cards have gotten pretty cheap maybe this isn't an issue.)

    Just me, but ...

NextBase GW522. In stock or easily ordered at Best Buy. Only-just-slightly-larger unit than Garmin mini, but an impressive 4k capability.

Do I need a relay running ditch lights to a “oem” push button? I’ve been reading both yes and no. I’ve never added one before

Dongar shows that they include short cables with the adaptor.
To download data I've found it easiest to just pop out the memory card. Downloading to your phone via wifi is time consuming. And if I remove the camera then I have to get it aimed correctly again.

To all of you folks asking questions about the Garmin mini 2 with the Dongar cable, you can speak directly to Garmin(# is on Garmin.com), that's what I did yesterday. They can explain everything, and more. If I can understand it, it's not that complicated! Lol Good luck

"I think" the Mini 2 is 2k. I'll need to mess around with it a bit more but pictures and video seem pretty clear imo. This is my 1st ever dash cam so I can't compare to any past experience. I'm happy with it.
