3rd gen DCLB, horrendous squeaking noise when turning the wheel, and when going over any bumps whatsoever. Thinking it’s LCA bushings and bushings for leaf packs but unsure. Please help.

Does it do it when turning the wheel while parked in place? or only when actually moving?

My LCA bushings were shot at around 65k on my 17. Replaced them last summer with the whiteline(I think was the name) bushings.

Mine was super loud and nasty of a noise. I have a thread somewhere on here with the noise lol.

I did shitload of research on this topic and did almost everything people recommended. The more you do the research, the more you get frustrated because of all the different feedbacks. I can assure you the squeak noise I had on my truck was far worse than any clips posted on YouTube or on the threads here. These are what was recommended and what I tried,

    1. Sway bar bushing replacement. Did not work.
    2. Front body mount hardware replacement. Did not work.
    3. UCA bushing replacement. (Extremely time consuming without proper tool) Did not work.

I was going to do the LCA bushing next but considering the amount of labor I put in replacing the UCA bushing, I planned to take it to a shop to do this if #4 fails.

    4. Front shock bearing replacement. IT WORKED!
I bought the parts from filthymotorsports.com
The replacement took about 3 hours for both sides and its a fairly easy installation.

This is my post in a very good thread on the subject, OP. Turned out to be the body mount/cab bushings...mine squeaked like a mother as you can see by the video, but unfortunately, it went away the day I took it in. I used this thread to point them in the right direction and after several hours of them denying the "internet guy", they looked, and wo and behold...

Would this be a possible solution for stock suspension? I just had the dealer replace both my struts under warranty and I am still getting a creaking sound from the front.

I’ve had a squeak in my front end too. Took the skid plate and bolts off- still squeaked. Thought it might be the Heim sway bar links I installed. Ensured everything was tight- still squeaked. Purchased the longer lower strut bolts from the 4Runner but haven’t yet installed them. Read about how some low mileage Fix struts were replaced by Toyota so I have an appointment to go see them. I’m at 37k miles. Also read some low mileage Tacos had bad front body mounts. I was going to have them check that too.

I found MY culprit. The two north to south brackets that hold the skid plate. The bolts were a little loose, snugged them up, and VOIL’A. Fixed. The truck feels new again. I can’t believe that is what it was.

Glad you found it. My problem is definitely coming from the shock/spring because I feel the vibrations when I have my hand on those components. Truck is at the dealer now for the 6th time in less than a month. Shop foreman is looking at it.
