Enclosed is a screen shot of the brochure specs for current high end nVidia graphics cards.

Reading this, I would expect my new $1,000+ card to have DisplayPort 1.4a and 12-bit HDR at 4k resolution.
Upon purchasing the card, I find I have neither, even though both are specified in the brochure.

Frankly, I don't see any difference in stating an ATF cooler vs. stating a DisplayPort and HDR.
I would be a very unhappy camper after dropping a lot of money for these missing features, only to be told "changes happen".

    Interesting.
Not only is the ATF cooler missing, but also the advertised oil cooler.
Both of which were desired features for me when I wrote the check for the truck.

These two features are stated as Standard on all trim levels since 2012.
    Disappointing, for sure.

This refers to the tundra but it’s the same situation as the Tacoma.

Disappointing without a doubt, especially with the vague wording from Toyota. If it makes you feel any more confident in your truck, my '21 also doesnt have the external coolers and I tow my 2500 lbs trailer about 300-500 miles once every 2 months. I dont think I've ever seen my trans temp go above 210. Granted, I am in NC and mostly flat roads. I was worried initially but honestly have seen the need for additional cooling for my use case.

No really when low, you will hear the pump
Oil cooler is on the top of the oil filter.

I tell you one thing. 3rd Gen AT was advertised with 3.9 diff. Low trims like SR, SR5, some Sports came with 3.73 diff between 2016 and 2018.

That's not designed as a cooler. That's to bring the fluid up to temp quicker. I doubt it does much cooling since it's regulating the coolant to 180's

    Which one? Internal?
Data log the engine and tranny temps and see how 3 temps are related to each other.

No noise from pump or whine noise from trans when it was low on ATF. My 2nd gen would have that whining noise when low.

My engine coolant temp would run hotter when the ATF and TC temps were running on the high side from being low.

I took pictures of ScanGauge 3 screen several times under different driving conditions and gave printouts to Toyota when I brought it in. Coolant temp was getting up to and staying around 112 in like 30-40deg temperature outside. After the added the ATF, coolant temp never gets that high.

I'm assuming because of that that BS so say trans cooler they built into the radiator on these trucks, the ATF was running hot and the radiator was working harder to keep temps down.

yeah, it’s really really. Funny how sales brochures are basically just model and feature guides.

They’ve never kept up with the vehicle upgrades. Ford, Chevy, Toyota they’ve always lagged behind quite a bit. They are never up-to-date, except for the first year of a new model. They rarely ever get updated past that first year once changes are made to the features.

Here is the data into 13 min of the drive. Engine coolant is at the thermostat opening temp, but AT temp is no near the coolant temp. So the internal AT cooler is not for warming AT fluid. It takes 20 -25 min of normal driving to bring the AT fluid to 180 F.
