Hi everyone. I am just getting to know how this Tacoma site works. I go by Cooler, and bought
my first Tacoma one year ago. I did not know that modifications were made to it until I took it
into the dealer, complaining that the turn signals don't don't work, and the workshop manager
told me that the headlamp was aftermarket. I bought it like that from the dealer. Now I am with the understanding that it's my problem now. The front end is also lifted, and I really don't like that.

I am 71 years of age and though my body works well, I'm not 25 years of age anymore. Needless to say that it sits high with oversized tyres, and because I wish not to attach steps to it, I've resorted to using a step stool attached to a retrieving cord to pull it back into the truck.

    So much for an introduction.

Welcome to the forum. I am fairly familiar with the turn signals, so don’t be afraid to ask for help. As to suspension, I have no idea :rofl:But you came to the right place for help and advice for sure. I know there is a grab handle that can be added to the drivers side. But be advised the manufacturer of that grab handle has had issues from what I understand. KTJO I believe is their name (someone will correct me if I’m wrong I’m sure)

Depending on state laws, the dealer should not have sold a vehicle that can’t pass state safety inspections, and I’d assume if your turn signals don’t work,,, it can’t pass state safety inspection. See where I’m going? It’s something to look in to anyways.

Cooter would have recognized the in and out problem when he test drove the truck. Then either moved on or made a plan for correction.

@Cooler, careful playing the age card. You're supposed to be more seasoned in practical matters like this. And while you are in the upper age percentile, others here are older, and many are right on your heels.

Adjust the truck to be comfortable for you and enjoy it!

Judging from the post, I can guess he is not in the USA so US safety regs may not apply.

    Welcome aboard!

My first thought was, if you’re having a hard time climbing into the truck, then what possessed you to buy it? Why didn’t you just get a truck that wasn’t lifted? You can use a small step stool, but it would have been much easier to have a truck that wasn’t so high off the ground
