I'm no graphic artist, but for those interested if the white paper posted above is for this chip this is the ball layout. Oh again if that is the correct white paper for this chip I was wrong this chip Locks read and Write when the WP pin is low, which is odd.

can someone verify for me which pins on the big main plug to the DCM are the 12v+ and the GND? Which pins power the whole board

I've attached the DCM schematic file again, see below:

There are two 12 Volt supplies to the DCM module:
Pin 1 Blue wire from the DCM fuse.
Pin 19 Sky Blue from the IGN 2 fuse.
Ground is on pin 20 wire color is White with a Black tracer.

This of course will bring up the question as to why there are two sources of power to the DCM module? Everybody has been simply removing the DCM fuse and expecting that to disable all that the DCM ECU does... does it?

i also removed the backup battery from the DCM, it was super easy to do the battery removal. Is it possible, and can someone verify whether one of the power source wires went to charge the battery? Or would that make no sense?

Looks like one is switched on when truck is running, and one is always on.

Nope, can't verify just what the two power sources do within the DCM. We were all so concentrated on the DCM fuse source I did not even notice the second source until recently when I was trying to figure out just what every connection on that large connector does.

Until someone gets into the Toyota site and gets the "Theory of Operation" of the module we will all be in the dark.

I also disconnected the battery, yes very easy.

    That makes more sense.

on a third somewhat tangential thought,
Here’s a pic of the backup battery in the DCM that i removed.

That's what we are working isn't it? It would help if we had a couple to take apart

Thanks for all the info, have been looking for this forever to completely remove any “remote connectivity” ability from my truck. Just purchased one from your eBay. Look forward to receiving it

The OP’s original idea does not work. His eBay products should be removed. Please read this thread to understand why.

oh really? I read quite a bit and didn’t see anything that said it wouldn’t work, I figured it should work if you’re disconnecting the antenna the truck can’t send or receive signals right? Too late to cancel the order now, it won’t let me

Read through Disgruntled Scientist’s posts where he has the antenna terminated and his DCM in various states of shielding. There is RF leakage that if you are close to a cell site the signal goes through.

yeah I eventually got there after your recommendation, very frustrating. Oh well, it’s already shipped I’m out the $115 too bad. Hate how electric trucks are, honestly most likely selling soon and going to a fully restored late 60’s-early 70’s half ton.

thanks for pointing this out, saved me pulling dash apart.

The OP has not been here in months to answer your question. Perhaps you meant the info from post #157? Another poster.
