I'm looking to upgrade my 2020 Off Road's suspension so I can run some bigger tires and get a little better performance on trail...given many of you have upgraded more than once, what's your recommendation on the Best Value option?

The general consensus for bang for the buck seems to be

Cheapest- Bilstein 5100 with add a leaf

Mid Range- Bilstein 6112/5160 Icon RXT leaf pack

    Some also recommend Ironman

Suspension lifts don't affect your ability to run bigger tire sizes. Stuffed is stuffed, no matter the suspension, especially if you plan to wheel. Lifts only really help clear bigger tires on the street, which is what most people care about because they'll never stuff the front end at the mall.

If you keep your stock offroad wheels, you can run 255/85R16's (33x10) on your stock suspension with no rubbing (may have to remove front mudflaps), which will raise your diffs/axles (and everything else) by about ~1.2", which helps a lot on the trails.

I'm with @HighCountryTacoma on the suspension, although I would skip add-a-leafs. It seems like most people regret buying them and wish they would have gone for a full leaf pack like the Icon RXT's from the start. The only reason to do an add-a-leaf is if you're on a tight budget, but you're spending more money in the long run if you end up with a full leaf pack down the road anyways. Our stock leaf springs are the weakest point of the truck IMO.

Generally it's recommended to keep the lift height to 2" or less to avoid too many geometry issues. Also look into the ECGS bushing if you decide to lift that much.

My first build was 5100’s with AAL….aside from a rough ride I had no regrets. If I was doing a budget build, I would 100% get AAL’s again

I also subscribe to this. If someone wants a small lift in the rear and has no/little weight there's no harm in a block. As long as it's less than 2" I don't get worried about rolling the U-Bolts over. If someone has weight or actually wants a performance improvement there's not replacement for... replacement aka a new leaf pack. We sell a lot of AAL kits because folks come in wanting them specifically. That said, I rarely find myself recommending them.

Thanks for all the advice! Based on searching around on pricing, I think the mid range option will work well for me (6112/5160 w/ Icon RXT leaf pack)--is there any consensus on where to get the best deal on the components or does it change based on who is having sales at the moment. Any other value-add components that you guys would recommend adding at the same time like new UCAs, U-bolt flip kit, etc.?

there doesn’t seem to be many discounts on Bilstein, maybe a slight $ off or shipping included.
PM @memario1214, he can send you pricing and get you fixed up, he was very helpful and answered lots of questions.
