Clutch pedal sticking and clunk sound when disengaging. Lubing the pedal spring area helps. After researching articles, determined to replace spring. I guess I ordered the wrong part.

Toyota Dealer told shop there is not a replacement clutch assembly. The parts need to ordered separately. Is this correct?

    Is this not correct?

Quoted $400 to repair with individual parts.

    Seem ok?

Am I missing anything? At first I thought it was just replacing the spring.

If you have the clutch pedal with torsion spring often other parts will need replacement. Bushings, spring and sometimes entire clutch pedal due to wear.
    Here's how that is done.

Other option is to ditch the torsion spring and replace it with the linear return spring, which were used on 4cyl 2WD 5 lug Tacomas.

Just swapped my torsion spring to the linear bc the bushings were worn out. Spent $6 on a brake return spring from the dealership and less than 10 min to pry the old one out and pop the new one in. I used brake return spring, part number 90905-07028
