I have a light squeaking noise and 100% sure it is from the ES body mount.
I also have a clunk when going on speed bumps but depend on the speed (maybe strut or sway bar bushing), I'll check.

    Update on 03/20:
I checked my body mounts (ES universal) and it's bad.
The bolts are bent, washers too and one of the small "pipe" is also bent.
So I put some grease on and put it back until I get the oem.

How do you get it aligned ?
Using a pry bar just allow the bolt to go through everything, it doesnt stay in place (straight).

I think that when I get the oem parts I'll see how it will works. And if it's still bad I'll go to the dealership...

Happening on my 2022. Squeaking. Will take to the dealer.

This is kind of ridiculous. I feel like getting the body to mount to the frame correctly should be down pat.

other than annoyance what happens if you ignore it? Metal on metal and eventually failure ?

    Almost certain failure.

I have read both here. Some say they are inferior bushings, but some of those who replaced them with a recommended aftermarket bushing had the same problem.

I have also read that Toyota claims a robot was out of alignment for a certain period, causing the issue.

If you notice one of the photos in my previous post, it was obviously out of alignment. Both bushings were that way.

Same exact issue. However the frame to body mount hole was not even close ligning up. I used a reamer to open the holes so that the bolt could be centered and not re tear the bushing.26662AC6-BE32-4272-8B9B-43EFE0754824.jpg 443E962C-D0A2-44BD-A9A7-253EE53AC464.jpg 26662AC6-BE32-4272-8B9B-43EFE0754824.jpg

It is still not clear what causes it. Do I have to keep replacing it every few miles for the life of the truck? Just seems crazy

My photo doesnt really show how off the hole is. I had to ream the metal off towards the center of the vehicle to make things line up.
If not it will wear out again. I thought about the other mounts and removing tension on them all to re allign things but i didnt want to change the body gaps. So removing the off part of material in the offending hole seemed less intrusive

    Whoa!

I started to question the alignment of frame to cab until I installed the Rogue kit. My cab slid right into place with perfect alignment to the frame and visually better with the bed. Same on the second kit that I helped install on a friend's Taco.

The issue is that the rear four mounts have huge holes in the center that allows for too much adjustment. There is next to no slope on the Rogue kit, which is similar to the Energy Suspension kit for the 2nd Gens. Just uses different plates.

Mine was the same way off, that is the problem if its not corrected the new bushing will get wiped out in no time. I removed the fronts which were torn with only 10k on the truck and cracked the other 4 body mounts loose. A big pry bar got me lined up threw in some dorman replacements. Have not had an issue since i have 28k now, too many horror stories with poly mounts cracking the core support. I would rather change the bushings every so often than run into that issue. They are very easy to replace pull a few clips on the front of the fender liner do not have to remove it and remove the 17mm bolts that hold on small the frame extensions assuming they are for crash support. I can swap both from start to finish under 30 minutes unfortunately even toyota does not make vehicles like they use to.

A bit disappointing. My truck “feels” pretty indestructible and it has 30K miles no issues. This is just a bummer.

I was pulling into the garage the other night which requires a sharp left turn before backing in. I heard a pop while turning left and assumed it was a toy the kids left on the driveway. Pull in, no toy, and now have a pretty obnoxious creak/squeak on the passenger side. Everything looks fine under the truck, have hit rubber bushing with silicone spray but no luck.

Does this sound like a problem with body mount or radiator mount bushings?

Just did this fix for mine after some horrible metal on metal clunking sounds developed during an off-roading trip. I actually left my buddies and cut the trip short (missing out on some epic stuff) because of this stupid issue. Only 27K on my 2021 TRDOR. Ridiculous. Seriously sounded like the suspension was tearing itself apart any time I went through anything with some decent flex.

Fixed now thanks to the OP's post (didn't even have to "pick 2" out of this "fast, easy and cheap" repair).

Worth mentioning, I was certain it was coming from the front passenger area, so I replaced that side first but the clunks were still there. Messed around with some other stuff idiotically (still clunking of course) and then it wasn't until I swapped out the driver side as well that it finally went away!

Well tried to do this with the energy suspension universal kit on a 2018. No chance was the larger puck going on top for my truck. It lifted the body nearly a 1/4 inch. With the smaller puck on top it stayed the same and the bolt lined up. Larger puck on top nothing lined up. Anyone have a similar issue when trying to put that kit on? The smaller pick with washer is about the same height as my oem one that I took out
