Looking for some advise on a replacement for my current carrier bearing.

it’s due for replacement, as it’s whistling and it rattles.

don’t want to get a knock off and it won’t last.

    any recommendations?

    All stock, baby!
Order online from a dealership parts department. There are many, and you can almost always get the discounted price instead of the full walk-in price. Highly recommend not buying on Amazon or eBay. Now, I have purchased factory Toyota parts on eBay, but it was from a specific seller that has been recommended here on the forums. But it’s otherwise best to avoid both platforms as counterfeits are very common.

I will third the Ranger CB. I picked up a fancy-pantsy polyurethane version, dialed the height, and it has been good to go for longer than two OEMs.

I have been running the Ranger CB in the IEDLS version since I want to say around 2015 when I first posted those threads. I'm STILL on my first one pushing 330 WHP through it and it's showing no signs of failure or irregularities. When it does fail I have a backup waiting to be installed.

The CB supports the driveshaft to the rear, so all Tacomas, and cab size is not a factor except for installation direction. Mine is an AC as well.

For my lift height, I made 2” shims that set the height perfectly.
