    Hey Sparky,

The main parts of my manual trans swap are wrapped up. Thanks again for all the info on this thread.

Hopefully one of the last issues I'm wrapping up is that I thought I could take care of the auto to manual conversion on the ECM through HP Tuners but it turns out it's not quite possible (truck runs, all error lights are off except for the A/T Temp light flashing but I'm getting that pesky delay in fueling after shifting and have a pretty high idle (1300-1700 RPM) and the HP Tuner expert, Justin, says there's nothing I can do about any of it in HP Tuners).

So...I'm looking to purchase a manual trans ECM. Do you know if I need to go with any particular calibration ID for my year or do I just need to find a manual trans ECM from a 2014 manual transmission Tacoma? Any links you can send me on your post about throttle delay would be most helpful, too.

    Thanks!

Edit: I found this post in another thread and looks like I have the PN I need. Thanks anyway!

Hey Desert, I’m about to embark on this swap myself on my 2013 and the ECM is my main concern. What steps did you have to take to make the replacement ECM mate up with the truck? Thank you!

Just make sure you get the right ECM from the list above. When the traction control light popped up on the first start with my new manual trans ECM, I found I needed to also get the corresponding ABS module that talked with the new ECM. There are a lot of different ABS modules for each year and each cab configuration and I didn't find much info that helped sort out which module I would need so found the method that worked best for me was to find and buy a 2013-2014 manual tranny ECM and make sure to get the ABS module from the same truck. But then again the tranny swap I did was on my DCLB so that cab configuration likely played in to the issue, so you might be alright if you're not.

There are a few other VIN immobilizer and ECM flash details that you can read about in post 81 of my thread:

Hey Desert and Sparky, do you guys know the PNs for the clutch lines, hard and soft? I’m struggling to find those…
    Thanks

I ordered and returned several different OEM hardlines but was never able to find the right one for my application. I just ended up getting a custom braided SS line made from HEL Performance. Cheaper than the factory part and since it was going to the Tilton HRB I installed, I didn't need to use a metric to AN adaptor; I just had HEL build me a metric to AN line.

Thanks so much for the help Desert and I appreciate your recommendation. I am going to do the same HEL line directly from my master cylinder to the slave cylinder. I will not be doing a hydro bearing and I also have DCLB. Do you by and chance know the length I should get to run the whole way(no hardline all of the way from slave to master). Also if you know the fittings to get for my setup it would be much appreciated. Thanks so much again.

Here's a screen shot of the specs from my order. Looks like 107cm for the overall length for me but I'd recommend running some string from the master to the slave and determining just how long your application is.

I'm pretty sure both sides of the line are M10x1.00 fittings and I chose to do a 90 degree bend at the master cylinder as pictured below.

Thank you Desert! Part ordered from HEL. What did you wind up doing with the sensor on the clutch pedal that tells the truck when the pedal is depressed to start? I bought the manual ECU for my year and that is one of my last questions. Starting in about a week.

The clutch switch (84520-42010) was part of the used assembly I bought on Ebay. If memory serves, there's an empty connector pig tail on the truck's main wiring harness hanging close to where it plugs in, so when I got the clutch pedal assembly installed, I just plugged in the switch. Easy peezy.

It was the Clutch Start Cancel that was a little more complicated. Feel free to check out my thread and ask any other questions there if you like.
