Stretched the legs of my Tacoma on stock suspension in Rausch Creek, PA yesterday, I can say it did great while I love to add more clearance, I would still prefer stock-ish on-road feel.
Key to remember is slow slow slow, since the truck is sitting much lower than a lifted one with bigger tires, I didn't want to have extra bounce/jerkyness over rocks, just be patient and practice my throttle/brake modulation.

DIY exhuast re-route. And I ordered RCI skid plates (which was the whole point)!

That crossover pipe is a double wall and was a bear to work with. Had to cut the outer tube like clam shell, re-fit/weld the inside tube and then same with the outer tube while maintaining an air gap inside. It works but I DO NOT recommend doing this. What a pain in the ass for a whole 1" of clearance. :frusty:

I’m happy I bought the Borla y-pipe. It also comes with a heat shield for the transfer case. It looks like you are pretty close.

Is the double wall just for heat control under the transfer case? Looks nice and tucked up though.

ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. Body Armor Sliders. Icon Stage 4 Lift. Eibach 1" Lift Blocks. Overland Taylor Tune. Rough Country Spare Tire Bed Mount. 67 Designs stuff on the dash. Uniden Radar Detector Hardwired. Spod Lighting Controls. RC Black Series Bumper Lamps RC Black Series Grill Lamp. Body Armor Stealth Front Bumper. Extended Brake Lines. Greddy Shift Knob. More to come of course.
The saga of the Spare Tire Cage is over...for now. Deputized my kid and forced him to labor top side while I struggled with hardware below the bed. Two of the Titanium bolts were too long (above the gas tank peripherals) so I spent an hour cutting through those. Three of the four mounting brackets needed trimming and fitting below the bed to fit flush. The boy bounced during Ti / bracket cutting time and was gone long enough for me to fabricate some rear spats (made from OEM fronts) for the Hellcat. Im pretty chuffed with how they came out and they use factory holes and rivets.
Stoked on the cage and that powder coat color. Thinking I should have liner'd the bed prior to all this but, meh...Now its time to relocate some cab mounts and get some big boy tires on here and, finally, get the lift installed. The cage whooped my ars. It was a tough install without a lift and a second set of hands. Insert fancy hardware to make it worse.
Well mini me eventually returned home from his homies/gym/girl/food/shopping/whatever, that was only supposed to be an hour, and we dugga dugga'd the last two bolts in place. Playing with zip ties and wire tonight. Keeping it chill and off the cement. I feel old.

Cleaned my engine bay. Usually do this a few times a year, takes 10 minutes as long as it doesn't get too muddy from a wheeling trip.

Brought my truck to the dealership this morning to have 2 recalls addressed. Come back 3 hours later to be told the weld slag issue didn’t affect my truck and that the other issue they needed to order the parts for it…. Which they told me last time it was there. The whole reason I booked it in was to have it fixed not to be told a second time that they have to order the part. Thanks a lot for sucking 3 hours of my life away.

Other than frame inspection, what was the other recall?

I found this, and was not aware of it.

    2023 Toyota Tacoma Recall
    Item Affected: STEERING: COLUMN
    Date Announced: 07/11/2023
    Description of Recall:
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2023 Corolla, Corolla Cross, Corolla Cross Hybrid, Highlander, Highlander Hybrid, Tacoma, 2023 Lexus RX350, RX350 Hybrid, RX500 Hybrid, 2023-2024 Lexus NX250, NX350, and NX350 Hybrid vehicles. An electrical connection inside the steering column's spiral cable assembly may be insufficiently welded, causing the connection to separate and deactivate the driver's air bag. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
    Action Need To Fix It:
Dealers will inspect and replace the spiral cable assembly, if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 8, 2023. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's number for this recall is 23TA08. Lexus' number for this recall is 23LA02.

You may know this already ... I just learned it a few days ago ...

Steelies take slightly different lugs than fancy mag wheels, and you will want hose steelie-lugs to run them full-time.
