It’s nice to have when it rains here. Our roads don’t drain water.
Either or. Super happy with it.

Well just drove the truck to work, and im having a brake sticking issue again. this time its the passenger front. Whenever it sticks, the pedal gets hard. It's almost like the Master cylinder isn't letting fluid back out of the caliper. realistically could it be anything else?

I had a motorcycle that did that because of the port from the fluid reservoir to the MC was clogged with debris. Took a while to figure that one out. Seems hard to replicate because you need a VERY specific size and shape of debris, but might be worth poking around that port.

Why don’t you just pull the ABS fuses in the meantime?

Honestly a good idea, but at this point I just want to get the brakes working normally. I just drove it again and it didn’t stick and they behaved normally. So frustrating.

Would it be stupid to throw a master cylinder at this thing? I don’t know what else to do or try. Never had any of these issues before doing the tundra MC/Booster.

What Wilwood part number is that? It's not the same as mine or @Airdog with the 2 piece rotor and aluminum top hat. Just missing out on the weight savings.

Also, your truck started as an sr5, not an off-road model, correct?

if so, then you can use this method for the killswitch.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/4lo-trac-abs-kill-switch-why-why-not.257444/#post-6254094

this is the method I used for my 09 off-road..

And yep, SR. Only came with ABS, thats it. No VSC or TC.

Dope, I want to make that work in mine when I get to that point.

It rains a lot here too but I've never felt like abs is very helpful with good braking technique. The Tacoma abs is too aggressive

Wilwood recently released a stock replacement for the tacoma. No more bracket needed for the caliper. It bolts right up to the stock spindle. Though I prefer the 2 piece rotor on ours. The aluminum top hat doesn’t transfer as much heat to the wheel bearing and spindle.

    Per the recommendation of @906taco

I have some crown performance brake lines on the way, will be here tomorrow. Have those guys a call and they were super helpful, got the lines and adapters I needed made just now and out the door.

Also gonna pick up the OEM master cylinder on my way home from work. Shouldn’t be any more issues after this.

These will be my last words. Lol

Things are looking really good though! Nice work. Way to power through the low times.

I regret saying that now. Lmao.

I’m tired of powering through. Too much money.

You could try and back bleed the master a bit and see if any dirt gets pushed into the cylinder. I see this on dirt bikes occasionally.
I know this is kinda apples to oranges.
Also sometimes issues with ABS pumps can have this affect, I’ve seen it mostly on street bikes.

ABS bypass switch is an 1 hour job it’s not difficult and for a daily driver I would argue that it is stupid not to have it. Nearly daily i find myself having to short stop in highway traffic and without ABS the majority of those would be collisions and flat spotted expensive tires…

Currently stuck on the side of the road, brakes are locked up. It’ll barely move in 2 hi. Can’t get them to release.

Wow. Even opening the bleed screws won’t release the caliper??
