My buddy gave me the idea he did all of his pillars in his truck. But it was more of a sticker bomb where mine was a actual wrap. But the wrap wasn't good didn't like to stretch even with heat so it made it super difficult.

I have a little bit of Utah/AZ mud and dust in my driveway.. I just hose it down to knock off the big chunks to lose the weight.. No time to deep clean.. lol

Hey everybody looking for a Airflow Snorkle Template for S016. Bought a used snorkle from a member here and would like to get it installed on the truck. I have emailed Airflow, but have not had a answer back yet.

    Thanks,

    Dan

Added some auxiliary door seals to help with dust and wind noise. First seals are from the 3rd gen between the front and rear doors. Here are the part numbers:

    67895-04020 - Right Rear
    67896-04020 - Left Rear

    IMG_4727.jpg

Next part is inspired by Crom and another thread here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/soundproofing-wind-noise.57536/

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...d-and-adventures.362772/page-25#post-11101058

I used 1/2” weather stripping along the bottom of front and rear doors, and 1/4” for the rear door sides and the small gap the 3rd gen seals don’t cover on the front doors.

    IMG_4872.jpg

    IMG_4874.jpg

I didn’t do the 1/4” filler rope like the one thread along the windshield and outer seals, but I do get wind noise there I think especially at high speeds in cold weather. Has anyone done else done this and did it fix any wind noise?

The same shit everyone else has.
Started redoing my scene light set up.

The lights were on the camper shell, but with the awning installed it blocks 2 of the lights.

Moving them to the rack on the cab.

Don't think of the deep cleaning as cleaning. Think of it as that last step in prep, while cleaning you are actually giving the truck that one last thorough inspection. Cleaning is inspection.

    minor tweaks
I'm headed out on a trip to the Eastern Sierras in a couple weeks via Death Valley and anything else that looks interesting so I got the truck up on a lift this morning and gave it a good going over prior to the trip. Over the last year I've been changing out the typical wear items that I felt might fail in the next 50K (between 150~200K) belt, water pump, hoses, pulleys, wheel bearings, u-joints and carrier bearing. It also got all new fluids.

Today was the last of the things I needed to get done, fresh oil & Filter, cleaned the airfilter.

    TC got it's oil changed.

I've had new U-bolts waiting to be put on, while I was doing that I rotated the tires and greased the u-joints and got an extended rear diff vent installed that's been sitting on my work bench for the last year.

You never know what will roll in at the base auto hobby shop.

This was a pretty cool car, the owner called it's style a cross between a AC Cobra and a Dodge Viper. According to the owner, aside from the running gear and a tubular alum frame it's all carbon fiber, the door weights 4lbs and the seats are molded to the owner's body, the entire vehicle weighs less then 2K lbs and he told me the tires last about 10K mi

Where did you get your new mirror? I cracked my driver side mirror on a tree a while back and it's held together okay, but I would love to replace it with a new color matched one.

Got back in the Taco game a week ago with a new to me 2011 DCLB TRD Sport with 150k miles. Psyched on the truck's condition as it'll only need a little bit of love to get it back to that super-bombproof Taco that I loved (before my old 2006 rusted out and missed it's frame warranty by a month)! Only downside was that it came with ridiculous oversized tires/rims (rub-a-dub-dub and super hooky on our Montana trenched out highways) - so for my first submission back in the what did you do to your 2nd Gen today thread - new tires and wheels. Scored some great condition 1st Gen Tundra split spokes and opted for some Wildpeak 265/70R17s (even though I was really tempted by 255/80R17...)! It handles so much better dropping the big dogs and I sold off the 25k used bro wheel/tire set for the same total cost of my new wheel/tire swap. STOKED.
