    Good Evening, Looking for ideas or experiences on adding an aftermarket amp to the factory stereo, just looking for a little more volume. Thanks, Erik

    Kicker key. You can put a harness together for it that makes it plug and play. It fits behind the radio, and has a digital signal processor built in.

    Do yourself a favor and just upgrade to a better head unit as the stock unit sucks.
    I put a kicker key and it helped, but the factory head unit underpowers the rear speakers to begin with.
    I upgraded to a Sony headunit and it sounds so much better, plus it doesn't alphabetize all of the songs on my USB flash drive and offers better searching methods.

    Take a look at trail grid pro for pre-wired, more or less plug and play units and you can probably skip the amp and just get better speakers for the doors and dash tweeters...

    What dashboard Center panel information did you lose with the aftermarket radio? I hear that certain information doesn't work after a radio replacement.

    I added an underseat 8" Powered Sub that I wired to the rear speakers behind the deck. Not the true 800 watts they claim, but between the Sub and Tweeter upgrade it sounds quite decent. Didn't even touch the door speakers, nor find a need.

    People assume I have an expensive system when they hear it.
