why would the back end of my truck squeaks all a sudden?

    Uh, a lot of possibilities. The most common culprit is dirty leaf springs. Go to a DIY car wash, pressure wash the shit out of the leaf packs, then hit them with some spray lube and see if it's any better.

    That is very common. Just lube the leafs, I imagine it will go away...

    Isn't it better to just clean them really good. cause lube will attract more dirt.

    Depends on the kind of lube you use. A "self cleaning" lube like DuPont teflon, or a dry lube like graphite, will keep that from happening.

    Greased dirt doesn't squeak, just the dry stuff.

    It's the rear leaf springs. Mine started squeaking because I had mud and dirt in between the leafs.

    Performance mods: TRD CAI, AFE throttle body spacer, Doug Thorley headers, TRD exhaust. Cosmetic mods: HID 10k head+3k fog lights, BHLM, T-rex 2 eyelids, billet grill (5 piece), 20% front window tint, 4% back window tint, tinted 3rd brake light, altezza tail lights, LED license plate lights, door skid protectors, slotted drilled rotors,plasti dip rims,painted rotor and drums. Interior mods: TRD seat covers, LED map and dome lights, 2 kicker 10' w/ 500 watt amp, pioneer door speakers,and Pioneer AVIC X930BT.
    Its the leaf springs for sure..Pressure wash the springs,jack up the truck to level out the springs,and then spray penetrating lube in the U bolts..It will take maybe about an hour to fully absorb in,but the sound will disappear.

    If its the leaf springs, I just fixed / cleaned mine yesterday. Follow the DIY thread on this fix. I used plastic instead of the rubber. A little bit of Lucas motorcycle chain lube works good too. I have to do this every 6 months to a year depending on how much I am off road.
