I use to work for Subaru, and some of them have a button to adjust the max height for the power rear hatch. use to deal with at least 2 a week for them not opening anymore.. would manually open them in the service drive and reset the button, i likely saved people hundreds of dollars in diag costs. but saved them none in embarrassment.

the button was about knee height and would get bumped and set to "closed" height.

Replaced both front wheel bearings, calipers, pads, and rotors.

At 150k, my wheel bearings were starting to make some noise and my rotors were looking more glazed than a Krispy Kreme donut.

They're only $190 + shipping and cores for a set of remans. It was worth the upgrade for me.

Alternatively, VHT "real red" caliper paint is like $15 for a rattle can.

If I bought these solely for the red aesthetic, I would tend to agree.

Wasn't impugning your reasoning, only that you can get red calipers without buying new calipers - the prior poster just said they wanted them red. :D

77 square miles surrounded by reality.

Tires, Softopper, fully armored, winch, many pinstripes.
Well... When I got my '15 SR% about 5 years ago, it didn't sound all that great when I'd floor it. I ran 93 octane for maybe 6 months since back then gas was dirt cheap.
At the end of 6 months it actually got to the point where it sounds smooth and powerful under full throttle.

I don't recall that it was much smoother at idle though, and with gas more than double the price now, I run 89 octane.

It can run 87, but it definately runs worse with that, and where I live, they mix in 15% ethanol (which I despise) and that makes it about 20 cents a gallon cheaper than 87, and it runs almost as nice as it does with the ethanol free 93 octane that costs a buck more a gallon.

That being said, I'm towing my T@b camper up north for a camping trip this weekend, so I filled it with 93 last night to keep her happy.
    :spending:
