Finally upgraded to the metal door handle. It feels much more sturdy and it was simple to remove and replace.

I'm basing this off my gps telling me I was going a hundred and ten miles an hour on a flat straight road on my way to work. I have done it several times, no idea why the computer doesn't shut me off at 105.

I’m pretty sure we were going over 105 on our way down that pass going into sunlight basin a few years back.

I know there’s no downhill grade that would overcome wind resistance on my truck at that speed, probably have to drive off a cliff to go any faster.

I see this conversation topic was last discussed back 2023, having some issues with my 01 2.4l getting hot sometimes 10-15 into my drive, then sometimes gauges goes down to normal operating temp, spikes up high goes down, up n down but maily stays on hot side. 9-10 hours later when time to drive home I need to add about 1 liter if water, same goes for the next morning. I've replaced t'stat, (please confirm orientation of jiggle valve?), replaced water pump, replaced radiator, replaced radiator cap, and all hosed, but still doing same thing. I'm about th replaced resevior as it has cracked and is leaking. Need your help on what els it could be, any advise would be appreciated.

All I can say is... y'all are brave. My trucks does feel impressively smooth at 80-85mph and that's as fast as I want to go.

Mine is good to 130 and then it starts to have a vibe that I don't think I'll ever be able to reconcile because of the driveshaft.

I bet your suspension is a little more dialed than mine.

I think my truck could break 100, I just wouldn't feel comfortable doing so.

Yeah it is for me because 6000rpm limiter, for you it'd be 5th though. For long distance test drags I slip it in 5th anyway much earlier, has no problem still pulling in overdrive. Gotta tune all the cells in a standalone haha, even the ones you think you'd never need. Or at least that's the excuse I use.

I'm curious, could you tune the haltach with the 7th injector setup?

I have pushed the needle on the truck but not quite to those speeds as I don't trust the tires. Now I am curious what the top of fourth is. Don't care to do the math though lol

Yeah we'd just do it as staged injection and it would be the second stage. We'd run out the stockers first though, which the stock computer doesn't do which is why you're so reliant on the 7th

Makes sense. The thing waits for days before lighting the 7th but when it does it's great. I just make so much less boost now living at a mile high, it's sad. Still better than being NA no doubt, but the power suck is there. I run a high afr in boost because of it.

4runner seats and center console, ARB rear locker, Icon 1.5” AAL, Bilstein 5100 on 4th notch in front (to support future tube bumper & future winch), 4600s in the rear. In-Cab CB radio. Hella 500 Driving lights. All-Pro Baja front bumper.
Installed Icon 1.5” AALs to remedy the sag from my camper shell.

I know, the real fix is new leafs. But I wanted a quick fix while I save up for some decent leafs.

The AALs leveled my truck back out like I wanted- no actual lift, since my leafs are clapped, but that’s kind of what I wanted. Ride is great so far, we’ll see in a couple weeks.

Side note- they squeak like hell. Didn’t have any squeaking before I installed them so I know it’s the AALs. I’m hoping this doesn’t indicate I fucked up the install, I followed the instructions very closely.

oh yeah and, forgot to post this last weekend but finally got around to installing my Hella driving lights.

Yup, still held on by the same 4 bolts. I guess that's why they don't recommend reusing the LBJ bolts.

Curious what bolts you were using.

Hope it didn't damage much else under there and you can get back at it in no time

They do use 12pt ARP hardware though I think which could be a good upgrade over stock if used on the OEM LBJs

I know there's a good thread in here somewhere with different oem LBJ bolts and the ARP's being tested, I remember using it to help make the decision when I replaced mine but I forget the details
