Nice! Stick with 265/70s or bump up to 265/75s?

Why is that?? If I can't see due to a glare, then what good does it do me to have the back up camera?? Assuming I have a glare after install...

Nice well made kit, but not in the budget right now, thanks for the link though...

Still wondering what members that are using the glare blockers are using??..

I might still have mine. I swapped to a steel bumper and the tag lights are pointed directly at the backup camera, instead of just glaring at it from their little OEM recessed pockets. Had to get the DIR harness because the camera image was totally washed out.
If I still have them, all you would need is little strips of double sided tape

Looks like you are only blocking about 1/2 of the light, but it still illuminates the tags and still bright and more focused at the plate, instead of most of the tailgate, as they should be, so you are not blocking them completely, and it would better match the rest of the LEDs in the back...

I bought some from the TW dude, but never used as I decided I like the OEM soft lighting more than LED. If I can find em, I think it’d get to you in a regular mailing envelope for free99. Pm your address if interested and I’ll try to send out today

I just found the lowest wattage LED bulb replacement for the license plate illumination which are about 5x brighter but are not too bright that they glare the camera.

How often do you look at your truck while backing up that you want the revers lights and the tail lights to be the same temp/color? Just keep the oem tag lights, best of both worlds (at least on my truck, ymmv).

If the constables do not stop my vehicle because they cannot see the license plate, it is bright enough on default halogen. No need to make my license plate visible at 1 mile.

But the LED reverse lights from VLED are an improvement for backing up. This is noticeable for me currently because the house I rent has the garage sitting at parallel to the street rather than perpendicular. When I exit the garage I must back out on white-concrete, turning 90 degrees and avoiding a large rock to the side of the paved area before I am finally in the street.

    This and that
I thought I would be fine with halogen license lights, and led everywhere else. Then I looked at it. Somehow I used the excuse of needing those, and added in the vanity lights. Also, anyone know the part number for the bulb holder/socket for the license plate lights? I smushed one somehow.

At least every 3rd day... Why, is that not normal??

Why does anybody do anything to any vehicle, cause they want to and or just cause they can...

WWI & II Jeeps went about anywhere they needed to go without lift kits and mud boggers and $50,000 worth of add owns also...

I already have LED back up lights installed, but will use the VTAIL ones when I do the upgrade...

And if I was not doing the VTAILS then I would not use the LED tag lights (that are in the console) anymore then I already am, just think it looks a little better if all are matching... Everything I am doing to this truck is for me, me and me, I don't care what other think about it...

The whole assembly is 81270-0C040. Cost about $32 from a dealership and about the same from Amazon.

My only point, and it's definitely a "me" issue, is that I can't get my head around installing LED tag lights just to put blockers on. You do you. Peace.

Put on some cheapo seat covers. Protection was needed with a 1yr old in the backseat but I didn’t want to spring for a pricey set. After having these for 700 miles, I am very happy I went this route. They look and fit great, and have held up well so far.

Plus, they are only $100 right now!
