Like @3JOH22A said, junk that fiberglass mat under the carpet. Replace it with this stuff stuck to the floor. Coming from someone who did the same thing, lol.

    It's also @Norilsk approved :)

For some parts you can cross reference or mix and match from other vehicles, I had to change rear viper on the LX and the prius one fits perfectly, see below.

    https://www.cruiserpatch.com/products/100-series-prius-wiper-arm-upgrade

Excpet for the cosmetics, drivetrain was used globaly, finidng parts or superseeding parts etc should not be a problem with a research.

For those who can't wait and need parts faster(more money): https://partsouq.com/
For those that can wait months and don't need parts right away: https://en.impex-jp.com/

I got this far last night, waiting on Fedex man to bring LCA and seals so i can continue. Drivers side, nearly everything out (still to do inner tie rod), started putting new-ish parts back in. 3rd geN UCA from Pandataco (a couple years ago), and 3rd Gen strut from @hewjas

Unlucky find that one caliper is partly seized, 1/4 pistons, and those gay CV seals. Calipers arrive by weds, seals tomorrow.

Another long day in The Shop after work today. Hope to get the pass side stripped and reassembled at least as far. Finish on Wednesday night, alignment by Friday.

^When all's done you'll have a small lift and better handling from the Hitachis.

Anything will be better than originals with 235,000kms at this point.
The small Lift is just a bonus i suppose.

might as well change front diff axle seals at the diff side if you are this far into this. Keep the old arms, they are easy to rebuild for when you need it.

Tthe left diff seal was changed a few years ago when the needle bearings went. Guess i just feel lucky about this right side seal. Next time.
LCA and UCA have already hit my scrap bin…cutting those damn LCA bolts out is as far as i want to go with that old crap. Hopefully another 12 years and 1/4million kms before I gotta do this again….

Don’t believe so. Think they are all gone.

@Toms2Yotas I’ll be heading to Elora eventually. If I remember correctly I don’t think you are too far from there. Let me know and I can bring the shirt.
