Advice for emergency devices: "1 is none, 2 is one"

I bought 2 through "LA Police Gear" on advice from others here. More expensive than the Amazon one. Maybe better quality, maybe not ... but this is to keep people alive.

Other medical device advice ... Israeli is for field dressing, but tourniquet is for fast flowing wounds at the extremities and "tourniquet saves lives, it is not to save limbs".

Thank you all for some very legit and real answers (way too many to respond to), sounds like most (if not all) on here are ready and willing to help out their fellow man woman and child incase of an emergency...

Nice to know our Tacoma's are being used for there intended purposes and not just for posing, in my neck of the woods we used to have lots of places to go off roading, and back in the day I had a Power Wagon with a built engine and used to go off roading all the time, even jumped ditches and stuff, never went rock crawling or anything, just made up our own trails or whatever, loved to jump the truck though...

Now too many people moved here and ruined all that, so just a bunch of pavement pounders and posers, you should see all the 6" lifted Jeeps with 24" wheels and 37" tires that at any given time you could eat off of the frame and suspension, they would be lucky to see grass, much less dirt... I've got the SR5 RWD with OEM size highway tires, so no posing, and even though it is my DD, it also gets the bed used whenever needed...

Funny thing is, we used to load up the kids in the back of our little RWD 92 Toyota standard cab with the raised roof toper (only own when going camping) and go camping often, now a days the closest thing to camping we will ever do again is a nice cabin in Gatlinburg... And if I go off roading other than my yard anymore, trust me, it is not on purpose... But my son is taking his kids camping now, so the next generation is still doing it now...

You added a nice head unit. I haven’t found one I like yet. BUT, just an upgrade from the stock speakers is a huge improvement. I did add an amp because I added Focals and a sub.

I swapped out my entire system. I put a 8" sub in a box right where that JBL "sub" was.

These are Kicker speakers from Subaru (the only Kicker product I would recommend). I had them for a while as a temporary upgrade until I did my audio build. They are fully plug and play on these trucks and make a pretty significant sound difference after they break in. Added N2 Auto Start (full take over) and wireless android/apple/screen mirror auto to my '18 Taco.

Not exactly "to my Tacoma" but watched a couple of videos on the proper use of an Israeli trauma bandage and a windlass tourniquet. Not sure how composed I would be "in the moment" if someone I care about needed effective application of the trauma bandage and tourniquet but odds are better now.

Well, not quite an upgrade to the truck, but it did affect it.. I finally up graded my phone from a S9 to the S24 and wow it made a huge difference in the non JBL all stock sound system, I only play Pandora on it...

I do at some point want to get the Trail Grid Pro Alpine Plug & Play 6-Speaker, 4- Channel Amp & Powered Subwoofer Kit... Unless y'all know something I don't.. lol

The great thing about Israeli bandages is they are good for far more than their intended use. It is basically an ace bandage and a sterile gauze pad or 2 with a pressure device so you can disasemble and use it for all sorts of first aid needs.

I have been thinking to carry a trauma kit, I sure would love to help a fellow survive. If needed.

LA Police gear for Israelis ... sold in pairs only. North American Rescue for quality tourniquet. A blood-clotting gauze pack with triangle bandage (arm sling). A small portable splint from Bass Pro. Find a medical kit with most of the OTC drugs, but in the end you will likely visit Walgreens to supplement with "burn gel", hydrocortizone cream, "wound seal" bandages that are thin strips to hold longer wounds closed well enough. I bought extra lidocane cream. Not every need is an "emergency" but can just be immediate comfort like burning your finger at a cookout. I ended up spending about $200 after customizing. It was a pain in the butt supplementing a reasonable medical kit with extras I thought I might need.

Washed it today @71° Fahrenheit. Including the nooks and crannies on the wheels which get the treatment infrequently.

The more I drive without this, the less clunking I hear, and I remain calm and I like it that way. Maybe I'll reconnect it one day put a gopro down there and figure out what is really going on...
    20241220_143555.jpg

Long story, when I got my windows tinted, got the truck back, and when I unrolled the window while driving, Let's say 2 inches, then I would hear this rattling coming from the window area, well, after disassembling, this passenger side panel completely 2 or 3 times and trying to figure out what's rattling, I finally figured it out and it's the window channel 'rubber' right behind The side rear view Mirror was rattling against the metal door. So I put a little neoprene foam, one eighth inch padding in there with sticky back and rattling is GONE. I felt so, cheap, when it rattled.

I broke a wheel stud a little while ago after wrapping up my front lift install. Gave her wayyy too much umph while torquing the wheels down (stupid, I know). Finally got around to replacing it. Easy job.
