First Christmas gift install done! Got smoked sequential LED turn signal and they look great!

This vid was by far the best on how to install these; took me less than 10 mins to install. (https://youtu.be/aKI7ZyXKodY?si=MQu0qzxFH9tN9z1s)

I’ve had a few run ins with some sea birds. The claws on cranes, herons and egrets will do some damage to flesh. Not a statement from personal experience of being gouged at, but because I’ve had to untangle those birds from mesh.

Sorry for going off topic, but I can't upload photos as I have in the past. I'm on Windows 11 with Firefox. Do I contact a moderator for support or is there a link to a thread someone can post?

Not even a week after changing my battery and my passenger side headlight went out.

Thanks to the wealth of knowledge that @crashnburn80 has contributed over the years I've been running the H9 Phillips German bulb in the low beam projector housing for the past 3-4 years. It's cheap, and it works very good with a slight modification to the bulb connector.

It's members like him who make this forum so valuable...if not Id be the guy running LED bulbs in a halogen projector blinding oncoming motorists.

$20, replace both, just make sure to trim the small tab.
    IMG_20241227_200522414.jpg

I've been replacing things lately that are boring... Oil, filter, diff/xfer case fluids, trans fluid, battery, wiper blades, air filter, cabin filter, lightbulbs, brakes, yadda yadda yadda. Between fluids, battery, filters, bulbs, brake pads, and other general maintenance items I'm up over $500 in the past 6 months for regular scheduled DIY stuff.....the stuff we gotta keep up on.. the stuff that makes some ppl wanna trade up. I know a lot of ppl who hit 60k miles and call for the service and find out it's $2000 and say ok... I'm gonna trade this in and get something else.... A lot of people

Maybe my next "what I did to my 3rd Gen" post will be something like Meso puddle pods, bed stiffeners, or a screen protec kit for my gauge cluster.

Looks great. Is stage 3 the setting on your 6112’s? Is that roughly 1.5” lift in the front ?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I haven't had a problem running the same setup. Are you sure the photos are the right file type?

I've thought about doing that, but read some have peeled the paint off during the process.

Mine had a nasty imperfection in the paint. Like a tiny splatter. Buffed it out.

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.

I really want to do this. But like some other cosmetic 'adjustments' I'm worried getting tired of it a month down the road. I know the vinyl can be reapplied, but .... .

    Happy Holidays!

My wife bought me a "plug and play" remote starter kit for my 2020 Toyota Tacoma SR. God bless her heart. Awesome gift.

unfortunately- she cut the wrong wire when installing and I am wondering what the wire is? perhaps I am looking for a diagram of what wire she cut?

is it safe to drive the car if she puts everything back together?

I appreciated the gesture but might be better if I take it to a pro!

Thanks for your help in advance!

Um... I got a plug and play remote start for Christmas as well. It is for a 2016-2020, no wire splicing at all. Just two easy connectors. But regardless, this is an easy fix.

My suggestion would be to take a sharp knife and peal back more of that tape off the harness. Then get yourself some red heat shrink butt connectors and reconnect that wire.

Not to sound too naive but does it make much of a difference? Is it one of those things that you don’t realize how bad it was until you upgrade it?

But factory vinyl is often pretty darn durable, so you’re possibly facing a downgrade if you decide you don’t like it without and want to add it back.
