2021 Army Green Taco Trd Off Rd - BFG KO3's 265/75/16. Bilstein 5100's all around and 1" block in the rear. 2" lift in front and 1" in the rear
Hi everyone, New to Tacomaworld. Need some advice. I recently added 265/75/16 KO3's on my 2021 Taco on stock OR wheels and stock suspension. I love how the tires look but I want them to poke out more. I'd like to add 1.25" wheel spacers but I'm worried my KO3's will rub. I'm on stock suspension too. Has anyone successfully run 1.25" wheel spacers with KO3's or KO2's on stock suspension? I also do not have mudflaps in my wheel wells. Thanks.

Looks like your offset on stock wheels is +25, so with the spacer you’ll be -6.
You’ll be fine with that. Pro wheels are 0 offset and up to -10 work well with minimal effort.

Will do. Some say the wheel spacers will ruin my wheel bearings overtime. Kinda having second thoughts. What do you think?

    I’ve gone 100k miles on my wheel bearings. I have @SCSPerformance Ray 10 wheels 17 x 8 inch wide with -10 offset.
Sure you can play it safe or take a chance and in 4 or 5 years you might have to deal with wheel bearings.
if you ever have to deal with it this guy does a pair of hubs with great bearings for $345. I ordered from him, great service.

Toyota Tacoma Trd pro wheels have an offset of 0
You can get other wheels, SCS, method in -10 which also minimize trimming to fit larger tires
That a bit more clear for you?

Which pro wheels are you referring to? None of them to my knowledge are zero offset.

I believe the 16" pro tacoma wheels are +13. Pretty close to 0, but not quite. Nevertheless, they're a lot closer to the fenders. A zero offset wheel is about flush with the fender.

Spidertrax and Bora are recommended brands.

Yes it will rub. I did the same thing as you op. I was at stock height and stock wheels, 265/75/16 didn’t rub at all, but then when I added the 1.25 spider trax it rubbed obnoxiously on a piece of protruding fender flare at the rear of the wheel well. Cut it off with a dremel or like me the ghetto way with a pvc pipe cutter, lol. IMG_4327.jpg2nd pic is after I cut the piece off

Any time you get away from OEM, you run the risk.

Chance you take, but even some OEM parts wear out prematurely.

Thanks for letting me know. I think I might pass on the wheel spacers. I don't want to cut any fender plastic or do a CMC. I love the look of the stock OR wheels with the BFG KO3's. Only thing is like DavesTaco68 said the OR wheels have a +25 offset which is why the wheels look like the there pushed into the wheel well. I wanted the wheels to poke out a bit with the spidertrax but as I said earlier don't want to do any cutting or chopping. I think I might get the TRD Pro wheels 2020-2021, DavesTaco68 also said the are 0 offset others say they are +4 which is great. Those numbers are great because they push the wheel out more. I've seen on Tacoma World Tacos with the Pro wheels with 265/75/16 or 285/75/16 and they look great! May not be super aggressive but I can live with that. I appreciate everyone's advice. Thanks again.

I run that size tire in a Yokohama Geolandar X-AT (10.4" width) with the Spidertrax 1.25".........no rubbing.

Also have a 2" lift, though I hear folks say the lift doesn't matter. :notsure:

Nice! I want to do a 2inch lift in the future. I like the TRD lift kit from Toyota 2" in the front and 1" the rear but its pricey $1750 not including labor.
