Just got them installed (285/75r17). Seem to be narrower than my AT3 275/70r17 at first glance. I'll update in a couple weeks after I drive on them a bit.

How are these tires doing so far?

I was pretty much set on ko2’s but saw these on a neighbor’s tundra a s they look great.

I’m on 255/85/16 now and those skinny 35s might be ideal.

    Also nice rig!!
Which rear bumper is that? I’m looking at doing a hc rear soon and kind of between BFF, ATH or CBI.

Liking the tires so far. Road noise on them seems about the same as my AT3W. I'm feeling the extra weight and size compared to the 275/70r17 but that was to be expected. Gotta get the alignment done and then do some trimming. Definitely rubbing on the edge of the fender flare.

Just got these on in 255/80/17 coming from 265/70/17 Cooper Rugged Treks. The Coopers were great but wanted to upsize after putting on new suspension. The RT01s are about 14lbs heavier each, and while i can feel the weight difference these ride pretty good so far. About to go on a roadtrip to the mountains for Christmas and am excited to see how these do

First pic is rough comparison vs the Coopers

I have a set of these in 33x12.5 in E load and am liking them a lot. Coming from the Yokohama Geolander MT. These have been better Offroad and of course better on the street as far as noise and ride quality de to the MT tread and those were worn and chunked. I am stoked on this purchase.

How did you like the Cooper Rugged Treks? I'm looking at that tire and would like to hear some real world feedback. I want a tire that will be a jack of all trades, so to speak. As far as noise, that's the least of my concerns. I want a tire to handle rain, dirt, snow, commuting on the highway, etc. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I greatly appreciate it. After reading so many tire reviews, I'm even more confused than I started out at, haha! Real world user reviews, such as what you can provide, will be very valuable to me. Thanks again!

Had KO2s originally. Went to the Wildpeak AT3W. Running the RT now.

AT3W was worlds better than the KO2 in the rain, other than that they both worked.

RT seems to be better in the dirt than the AT3W. Haven't had any rain to see if they are better than the AT3W but overall I prefer the RT.

The Rugged Treks were amazing. I didnt put them through anything super crazy, but they definitely handled their own on sand, loose rocky trails and lots of mud. Never had any punctures or issues on the trails. No complaints in the limited snow they saw. I put on lots of highway miles and road performance was great as well and felt smooth throughout their life....got around 47K out of my set but they were wearing pretty evenly and still had some life left. Never experienced any traction issues in the rain unless i mashed the throttle. These are a fantastic tire in my opinion and i wouldve gotten them again if they were offered in 255/80/17, although i seriously debated putting them on in 285/70/17 and eventually dealing with the list of issues that come with running that size. Here is a thread for the Coopers, maybe itll help you decide -- https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/cooper-discoverer-rugged-trek.718494/page-17#post-30326974

For the Wildpeak RT01s -- around 2.5k miles so far mainly highway and they have been good. Considering they are E load i think they ride pretty nice on the road. They saw limited snow and ice action already and so far no bueno...had a butt-clenching few minutes on an icy trail. We got some heavy rain soon after i put these on and they did really great, so hopefully that holds true as the miles rack up. Looking forward to getting them on the trails in the summer
