Need weight on the rear to help the shocks sit in their sweet spot

 

In my opinion, no. Likely 1/4” and 3/16” steel in the kit, and that’s really too thick for a 120v mig, which is what I assume you are referring to

There are 120v options, but they are stick welding, which is a better option for beginners and something like a bumper, again, in my opinion.

It should be pretty simple to fit up right on the truck.

 

Definitely needs to be on the truck to assemble.

I mounted the brackets on the truck then welded the back part of the bumper to the brackets. That was the only way I could see getting the brackets in the right spot.

I’ve sorted out am the pieces and how it all goes together. Pretty straight forward once you get into it.
