I have 2008 2.7 regular cab with 5 speed .. I am thinking of swapping the engine with lexus ls430 engine! Any ideas or tips
First I was thinking of the 4.0 v6 but its not cheap and as I heard It will take alot of work
I thought also about the LS engine but I want to keep the car original as much as I can I want everything working as the original truck

    Thank u

Honestly the 4.0L swap would probably be the easiest since it's at least the same platform and there are a few people that have done it, it's not as simple as just dropping in a different engine and ECM though.

I'd suggest you read through the threads below and then ask yourself if you are ready for the challenges and headaches involved in a swap because there will be many unforseen issues to sort out.

Any engine swap is a shit ton of work. Engine, compete harness, fuel system , engine mounts, tranny mounts are all these compatible, what needs to be fabricated, tuning. Adaptors if you wanna keep oe tranny, will it sit in the same place if not, new driveshafts, if you go LS, will the drive train handle power, now your talking axle swaps and everything that goes with that. Ugh!!!
