Let me know when you figure it out. I intend to keep my Tacoma til it drops and I only have a few what I consider useful mods. I'd be keeping it and then rebuilding the motor when it dropped if I did all that sh-t.

 

Agreed. Some are unnecessary, IMO. But none the less, all looked well done.
It's the time required, if all done by him, that amazes me.
Or he had money to burn and paid someone else.
My mod list keeps growing, the pile of parts gets bigger, and time keeps getting shorter.
Tough to put a rolling pile of nuts and bolts ahead of life, family, friends and business.

The guy is a legend over on ToyotaNation.com. He paved the way on a lot mods for the 05+ Tacoma's.

I always wondered how he afforded all his mods too. I think he was a Heavy Equip Operator and also did side work. The guy is very knowledgable on a lot of things.

 

Credit where credit is due. He must have been a god over at ToyotaNation. Very nice work. A lot of ingenuity going on. MacGyver would be jealous.

Yes. He's a Legend in my book. This is the first I heard he sold the Tacoma. I wondered when it would happen. Those Ford guys don't know what they're in for...

 

That is true. He was very steady over there then just fell off. There were some rumors that he had a lot of personal problems that he need to work out. Also I thought that he had sold his Tacoma a long time ago (during the other stuff) then I saw that he updated his car domain page to say that he had just got rid of it for the ford. Wish him the best of luck.
BTW one of the fist mods I did was his map light with dome light mod.

My first was adding a homelink mirror - which he also wrote up. Always wanted to put a scangauge in my overhead console like he did. Unless I find some totaled Tacoma somewhere to scavenge for parts I'm not ever gonna feel comfortable with that kind of stuff.

My dad has an F250. Wonder if I'm gonna have to try some PB stuff on that one day...

Anybody knows what happened to this guy? Is he still active on any car/truck forums? I went over TN and I think he didn't post since 2010. Maybe he is doing the same process of modifying, but on his ford...

Something is sure, someone with that much ingenuity is good to have inside a community, hope the ford guys get to learn from him.

 

I have had that one 15+ years it has been through hell and back and still works would not trade it for the world.

 

added a tundra 4x4 emblem to the tailgate after removing mud flaps, so i could still rep my 4x4. unique i guess, only saw one other person on here with it.
