This is the one that I purchased for my 2nd Gen. (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08Z7NSCJY?th=1)

I brought the blank into Home Depot and had their automatic key cutter cut it. The employee didn't really know how to charge for it since they weren't providing the blank, so he just let me do it for free.

This is the one that I used. I'm finding that the unlock button doesnt activate 100% of the time, very odd.

I almost forgot. I installed a Black Widow muffler a few months ago, as the stock on had a broken baffle. Now I am all caught up.

Began stalling after running 3 seconds yesterday. Starts fine but dies unless I pump the gas between 2K-3K rpm. Cleaning the MAF and then swapping for a new one didn't help. Don't have a scanner to check if any codes, or smoke machine for vacuum leaks, etc., so she's taking a trip for a checkup...

Me? I washed the dusty washable air filter for about the 50th time. Money saved.

Canadian? NRC is a Canadian company, I do see a good number of NRC rollbacks in the states.

If you have no plans to reuse the blanks just carefully put a screw into the blank then pull it out. A couple of them have unused seat heater plugs behind them.

Otherwise you either have to pull that panel which is a total pain to get out because of it nesting behind other panels, or carefully use a plastic trim tool to pop them out. The plastic surrounding the switch is very malleable and can distort from any pry tool.

You can DIY make a flip key using these instructions but there are some caveats: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-programmed-and-coded-for-2015-tacoma.690027/

Biggest thing is to make sure you buy the correct flip key fob to match your year/transponder chip. My '15 uses a G chip but your '09 might use the "dot" chip or H chip, not sure which don't have it memorized.

I've removed these before by first removing the cigarette lighter port (I was replacing the lid anyhow) and reaching a finger in behind to push the blank out.
You'll need to push back to little tabs to remove the cigarette lighter port, It's tricky, but I was able to do it with a snipe-nose pliers (using them to push outwards, not grip).
    Hope this helps.
