    Junkyard run today

I pulled a driver side power window motor from a Yaris to do my power window conversion.

I need to get the passenger side soon, and then order the correct regulator. Unless I can modify my manual window regulator to take the power unit.

I also pulled both heated mirrors from a 2011 sienna for the mirror conversion.

I got this cool ass steering wheel from a FRS. If it has steering wheel controls, id be using it in my truck, but I'm going to sell it and put the money towards the wheel I want.

And I dropped my FRS seats off with an upholstery shop. I was just going to get the driver's bolster replaced, but I decided to just send it and get them fully done. They're installing the heated seat pads for me as well.

Everything outlined in blue is going the plaid color. The rest of it will be black suede

Hey, not judging, if you like how it feels in your hand, you should go for it.

    posted this elsewhere today but…

I purchased a 2pk of oem-style remotes off Amazon for liek $15 and programmed them myself in the driveway using the procedure already mentioned above. No issues with either of the remotes.

I recently upgraded to a switchblade style key that combines the remote/key to limit my pocket clutter. Switchblade key was $11 on Amazon, another $7 to have the key blank cut. I took the circuit board out of one of the own style remotes to drop into the switchblade key assembly, good to go

I also learned that at least for my ‘06 base model, there isn’t actually a chip in the key so I got a couple oem style regular keys cut for $7 each so I have spare remotes and spare keys now inaddition to the switchblade key.

I dont have a sound gauge in my truck, but I have driven it a few times. My wife was the first person who said something after I installed them, so yea, I would say there is a difference. Now, I dont know which one matters more, new door seals or the added 3rd gen ones, but my truck is quieter.

After bending my 7th steelie I picked up some LX450 wheels. I had a student paint them gold because why not. They're not perfect, but they will smack rocks just fine.

Got my new exhaust in the mail, after my old MBRP turn-down snapped the welds at the flange on my way into work last week.

Gonna get my student interns to help with the install tomorrow if the weather holds, so I can stop driving our awful DOD V6 Silverado work truck.

Installed the AC drip line kit that Vorra65 sells. Quick and painless. (Trimmed the zip ties after I took the pic)69A18F32-3DA3-40E6-84A5-9245EE89F6B1.jpg

Mounted ditch lights and my GMRS antenna. I might buy a different set of lights because I don’t like the way the wire exits the light. I saw another set and the wire is in the middle of the light.

Replaced the belt and idlers and hardware on my father in laws 2011 at around 150k miles, all originals besides belt, was starting to make noise on cold starts. Also figured I'd throw up this diagram from another member that I added to to reference back when I did it on my truck in case it helps anyone else piecing everything together. Total of $345 ordering online from the local dealer, used just the tensioner pulley and kept the assembly for the future if it becomes needed.
