So recently some douches started stealing cars in my once rich and safe town.

I don't want my Taco stolen or anyone near it, so i was wondering anyone has any anti-theft devices or tools they use? I have one for tailgate already, but I mean for like whole truck, is kill switch any good?

Nothing is fail safe, but I go old school with The Club in higher risk areas. It just makes it a little harder to steal than the vehicle parked next to me. It's a good visual deterrent. My truck survived a week in a Seattle parking garage, so there is that.

Mine is parked by my bedroom windows. I also have camera there but just in case if they found a way to get inside the truck without getting the key which is on small table by my bed. They stole 3 cars 5 days ago, not but 2 miles away from me in my town. They broke in, took purse & keys and cars, I do not want anyone to take my Taco. I might get that, or kill switch, just don't know if kill switch is headache to install, compared to something simple like that

Lol funny enough. They are stupid enough to risk 10 years in jail for car theft rather than working at mcdonalds and making some $. No one wants hard work, and I am not giving nobody easy $ with my Taco

Yea tearing apart and selling. That's one of the reasons I am not buying any Taco parts like bumper, grill etc. I am sure Amazon, and especially Ebay is full of stolen parts .

Someone drilled my tank for gas once so I put a magnet on the back of a Harbor Freight driveway monitor and put it on my truck to dissuade anyone from walking up to it again. You can also put them on a post or something near your truck facing it (at chest height so cats don’t set it off). You can even put them inside the truck- they will only sense someone inside it that way as they won’t sense movement through the windows. I keep the alarm in my bedroom, and it’ll work with the truck parked over 100 feet away.

Also install a Toyota glass breakage sensor if you have an OEM alarm on it.

i suggest hiring a crane every night to lift the truck to the 40th floor of a high rise. it'll guarantee they can't easily get to it.

You can install a hidden kill switch that interrupts the EFI circuit for example. The switch you use and install method have to be robust enough to avoid stranding you in normal use.

A Ravelco plug is basically an advanced kill switch. Critical circuits are brought to a mil-spec connector on the dash. You carry the mating connector on your keychain. Before starting the vehicle, you plug in the mating connector to close the circuits: https://ravelco.com/product.html

Another way to steal vehicles is by towing. Only way to guard against that is parking in a locked garage or behind some tall curbs that a tow truck can't access.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Add an apple or tag for location tracking. Put up cameras… wired, WiFi, whatever works and watch it. Best case put it in a garage.

Apple tags can be put in many places. Think of a place that may be a little difficult for you to plant it ... not the fuse box, not on top of the dashboard. And you can remove the speaker from inside the Apple tag so it does not announce itself to the thief ... look for videos online to see how easy it is.

Yes i have thought about apple tag, i just need to get iPhone then because I am android dude. I already have camera in parking lot and so did the owner of 3 cars that were stolen but they couldn't catch guys still.

I think apple tag & kill switch is the combo I will go with, I like the club too but I feel like they might just cut thru that
